This will help you gain some perspective on where the luxury real estate market has been and where it may be headed.

As you can see in the graph for guard gated sales, 2017 and 2018 were strong years and the market now is seasonally a bit slower. Historically, sales always increase in the spring, and we’ll see how high that ball bounces in 2019. Keep in mind that once a home goes under contract, the escrow process can take up to 45 days before closing.

This means that the sales bump we see in the spring is actually a result of homes that went under contract in January or February.
