How Framework Can Help WHO WE ARE Framework is a leading UK independent market research data analysis bureau, employing over 70 staff in our Central London and Essex offices. Set up in 1985, Framework offers a full range of data processing, data preparation, statistical analysis, and web survey services both to the market research industry and to clients direct. All our services are handled in-house. For data collection surveys we provide a complete end-to-end service of the highest quality. For existing data we specialise in data fusion, exploration and ‘what if’ scenarios. The results give clear overviews of the current markets insight into customers and possibilities for future change.
Helping you understand your customers better is our key output. Put simply, relevant data, plus appropriate analysis and manipulation leads to depth of understanding.
DATA ANALYSIS We undertake a variety of data analyses, using a multiplicity of approaches and utilising existing client data and/or specifically collected market research data.
Statistical analysis We offer a comprehensive statistical advice and support service that can be accessed whatever your level of expertise. Apart from statistical testing, most popular are various forms of segmentation, key driver analyses, and modelling.
Database analysis Understanding markets and customers is often all about making connections. If you hold internal records, such as customer details, purchases made by customer reference number, when purchases made, how much spent per transaction, etc, then we are able to undertake in depth analyses to identify underlying problems such as customer loyalty and risk factors. Providing there is at least one common link (customer reference, for example), we combine multiple data bases into single datasets for analysis purposes, and create new variables to capture key information. If you have market research data we can often combine that as well, or we can undertake research data collection on your behalf. These data can be combined with internal records for customer or market segmentation. We use methods of data combination and new variable creation - such as likelihood to buy or vulnerability measures – to give you a clear picture of your marketplace, whether you are B2C or B2B.

DATA COLLECTION We can undertake data collection on your behalf using respondent self-completion methods. In most cases these are either postal surveys or web surveys (or a combination of the two).
Postal surveys We provide a full postal survey design, fulfilment, data capture and analysis service, both nationally and internationally. Identify your target audience and data requirements and we’ll do the rest.
Web surveys We offer a full web research bureau service, including design, hosting, and analysis. Surveys are hosted on Framework web servers, and all major web browsers and operating systems are supported, ensuring all of your target audience can participate. Surveys are designed for ease of completion. For example, questionnaire design onscreen reflects the needs of the respondent, based on their preceding questions.
DATA PREPARATION & PROCESSING Data preparation We undertake electronic scanning, manual data entry, data cleaning, coding and verbatim comment handling. We scan sample sizes from 1,000 to 50,000+. Our data cleaning is always conducted after data entry, with no forced cleaning, so your data quality is never compromised.
Data processing We provide tabulation, data cleaning, data merge, data conversion and export, and automated PowerPoint charting services. Weighting is no problem; we implement complex weighting matrices, including target weighting, rim weighting and grossing. We provide tables in whatever format you prefer, and to your particular design specification, with full control over fonts, spacing, margins, page orientation, inclusion of logos, plus additions such as statistical significances flags, and calculation of indices.
