4Northants is inviting applications for the posts of: ‘Digital Leader ’ at Wootton Primary School.

Digital Leaders will have the opportunity to: Get even better at using technologies. Develop leadership skills. Share their own tips and ideas on a Digital Leaders’ blog. Identify opportunities and overcome challenges for making better use of new- and already existing technologies for learning in school and at home. Carry out a ‘treasure hunt’ to find ‘hidden or under-used’ equipment or software, bringing it back to useful life for learning or recommending its safe disposal. Find out what other people think about ICT in school, listening to their views and ideas. Represent students in meetings to shape school technology policy and direction. Be trained to be able to train teachers. Teach pupils across the school. Act as e-safety ambassadors. Report to school governors and students about how technologies are being used in school. Trial and evaluate new equipment and services. Meet potential suppliers of new equipment or software. Work with Digital Leaders from other schools to receive training, share good ideas and

explore exciting stuff. Have a great deal of fun!

What type of person are we looking for? Passionate about technology and quite good at using it. Able to work independently. Able to work in a team. Able to help others learn. Enthusiastic. Patient. Honest. Reliable. Positive. If this generally describes you, you are welcome to apply for one of the Digital Leader posts.

How do I apply? Applications can be in any format - be as creative as you dare. Simply explain why you would make a good digital leader. Applications should be sent to Mr Crilly by Friday 10th February 2012 Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a 5 minute interview.
