Workspace Design PROJECT DESCRIPTION H&M is opening a new office in Savannah, GA. The office is located in historic district on Broughton Street. The first and second floor are retail space. The third and fourth floors are office space. The project was to design the third floor office space for the Conscious Foundation for H&M.

CONCEPT UNITED PARTS The concept is based on united parts talking about the framing of the offices space to come together as one. First, we want to create a space that molds, en-closes, and frames the workers that are in the office so they can work together as one team. Also framing means be the border of something and we want to be on the border of the creativeness and innovation with our design as H&M CONTRIBUTION I worked with a partner on this project. We came up with concept and did the space planning together. We had two floors to design. My partner designed the fourth and I designed the third floor.

The Open Office Space has different kinds of informal meeting places. The opening above frames the informal meeting space below. The glass wall with mullions frames the closed offices and lets in natural light. The columns frame the space.

The reception desk is designed to stop people before they enter the office space. The desk has design elements to make you stop at it and frame where the receptionist is siting. There is a 6 feet tall wall to separate the reception area from the rest of the office.

The break area is a place for employees to gather and for casual eating. There is different kinds of seating options so that it is more comfortable. There is a large island for another form of a meeting space. Banquette seating along the wall to frame the wall and add more seating. The tables can be pushed together for a larger eating space or informal meeting area.

Museum Design PROJECT DESCRIPTION The Mussee de Industriale is a City of Apt Municipal Museum dedicated to document the history of the city’s most successful and famous major industrial trades: Ochre mining, Candied fruit production and creation of glazed ceramics. The museum is located in an old factory site in the heart of Apt. First and second floors have exhibition galleries displaying the three trades. On the ground floor (our project scope) is an entry, reception, retail, temporary exhibition space and a classroom. The project was to redesign the ground floor of the museum focusing on 1- creating a welcoming entry and nearby flexible community classroom, 2- enhancing the retail experience and 3- designing a temporary exhibition gallery system and attractive space.

CONCEPT TRANSITIONAL TEXTURE

We designed a space that ties the old in with the new by use of different surfaces. TRANSITIONAL TEXTURE creates movement throughout using different textures to make circulation easier. The different patterns will breakup the space and give direction. The varying degrees of roughness to smoothness will be on the walls, floor, and ceiling. The viewer can interact with the shapes and finishes as they move through the space. The exhibition is transitional for different events that will happen in the museum. CONTRIBUTION I worked with a partner on this project most of the work was split 50/50. We come up with the concept, space planning, furniiture and equipment together. I did the revit model and watercolor part of the rendering. She add detial with color pencil to are renderings
