Monmouth (4-5 / 3-3) @ Robert Morris (4-6 / 3-4) Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at Noon Joe Walton Stadium (3,000) - Moon Township, Pa.

Radio: WLFP-AM 1550 (Adam Gusky - play-by-play & Brian Cleary - color) Live Video: www.rmucolonials.com Top Story - The Robert Morris University football team will play its 2012 season finale against Monmouth this Saturday, Nov. 17, at Noon at Joe Walton Stadium. Robert Morris won its second straight game, and third in four outings, last weekend at Sacred Heart as the Colonials scored the game-winning touchdown with 35 seconds remaining in regulation. RMU had trailed 17-6 with fewer than 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter but posted two scoring drives of more than 75 yards to come away with a thrilling victory. The Robert Morris defense allowed just one offensive touchdown, which came on a mere 41-yard drive. Senior weak safety Cameron Chadwick was selected as the Northeast Conference’s Defensive Player of the Week after the victory as he posted nine tackles and a pair of interceptions. Brad Banas and Nolan Nearhoof recently were selected as Capital One Academic All-District First Team, becoming the first male student-athletes from any Robert Morris sport to earn that award in three straight years. As is tradition, the Colonials will recognize each of their seniors in a brief ceremony prior to kickoff. Quick Stat of the Afternoon - In this past Saturday’s 21-17 victory at Sacred Heart, Robert Morris posted its most thrilling comeback of the season, but it was far from the first one. RMU scored the game-winning touchdown in the final minute after it had trailed, 17-6, with fewer than 10 minutes remaining. It marked the third time this season that the Colonials posted a come-frombehind win and tallied the winning score in the fourth quarter. RMU rallied from a 31-23 deficit against Central Connecticut State to win 37-31 and fell behind Duquesne, 13-10, before rallying for a 17-13 win. The 2012 season marks just the second time in program history in which RMU has won at least three games in which it trailed during the fourth quarter. The other similar season was 2000 as RMU posted three such wins en route to its perfect 10-0 campaign. Amazingly, in both seasons, the three comeback wins came within a four-week stretch. Saturday’s Opponent - Robert Morris has met Monmouth in 17 of its previous 18 seasons of existence with the lone exception being 2001. The Colonials hold a 10-7 (.588) edge in the alltime series. RMU won six of the first eight meetings, with the two losses coming by a combined four points, before dropping five of the next six matchups. However, the Colonials have turned it around recently by winning each of the past three meetings with the Hawks despite scoring no more than 23 points in any of those games. For more information on the all-time series against Monmouth, including the last game recap, please see page four of today’s game notes. On This Date (Nov. 17) in Robert Morris Football History - Robert Morris will be venturing into new waters as it will be playing on November 17 for the first time in program history when it takes the field against Monmouth. However, the Colonials have played in late November before and have experienced a good deal of success. RMU is 8-5 (.615) all-time in program history when it plays Nov. 15 or later in the month. One of those eight wins came against Monmouth as the Colonials downed the Hawks, 23-9, on the strength of a defense that allowed just 192 yards of total offense while forcing four turnovers (11/21/09--the latest date the Colonials have ever played a regular-season contest). Amazingly, only two of those 13 games have come at home. RMU is a perfect 2-0 in those contests, outscoring its opponents by a combined margin of 85-25. Saturday’s game will not only mark the latest date that the program has ever hosted a game at Joe Walton Stadium, but the furthest into November that RMU has hosted a contest since 1999.

2012 Robert Morris Football Game Notes vs. Monmouth (11/17/12) - Page 3

Head Coach Joe Walton 19th Season - Pittsburgh ’57 At the forefront of the football renaissance at Robert Morris University throughout its 19-year history is Joe Walton, who has built the Colonials from a fledgling program into one of the top Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) teams in the region. The one constant associated with the program, Walton was named the first head coach July 27, 1993. He started the program from scratch, completing everything from hiring assistant coaches to purchasing equipment to recruiting student-athletes for the team’s inaugural season in 1994. Walton’s fingerprints are all over the football program, and to prove that, RMU has played its home games since 2005 in a stadium that bears his name. During his tenure, Walton has led Robert Morris to the first Northeast Conference championship in 1996, guided RMU to a perfect 10-0 season in 2000 and in 2010 helped lead the Colonials to the NEC’s inaugural bid to the NCAA FCS Playoffs with their league-high sixth regular-season championship. “It’s hard to believe,” Walton speaks on how fast time has elapsed. “I’ve said this many times before, and I mean it when I say that this situation is one of the best things that has ever happened to me in my life. It happened at the right time. Before this position became available, I felt I was too young to quit coaching, but I wasn’t anxious to get back into pro football. When this came along, it was the perfect fit. This situation was the perfect opportunity for me to continue to do what I like to do, and I’ve loved every minute of it.” Under Walton’s tutelage, the Colonials have claimed outright NEC regular-season titles three times (1997, 1999, 2000) while sharing three others (1996, 1998, 2010). Walton led Robert Morris to back-to-back ECAC Bowl victories in 1996 and 1997, and in 1999 and 2000 he guided RMU to a pair of NCAA I-AA mid-major national crowns according to Don Hansen’s National Weekly Football Gazette. In 2010, Walton added to his legacy by engineering the Colonials on an eightgame winning streak for a share of the NEC regular-season title and the NEC’s first bid in the NCAA FCS Playoffs. In the process he picked up his 100th career victory in the collegiate ranks.

Last RMU Game vs. Monmouth Game #4 Robert Morris 23, Monmouth 20 October 1, 2011 / West Long Branch, N.J. Kessler Field (Attendance: 2,896) - Jeff Sinclair's 21-yard touchdown pass to Shadrae King with 5:15 left proved to be the game winner as Robert Morris earned its first victory of the 2011 campaign with a 23-20 win over Monmouth. The final score of the game capped a nine-play, 79-yard drive. Sinclair had previously hooked up with Rickeem Jackson for a 26-yard strike that moved the ball to the Monmouth 25-yard line. Sinclair would later connect with King, who pulled three defenders four yards into the end zone. Monmouth drove to the RMU 32-yard on its next possession, but the drive stalled when Brad Banas broke up a Kyle Frazier pass on third down. Eric Spillane tried to tie the game with a 49-yard field goal attempt, but his effort fell short. The Colonials got the ball back with 2:18 to play but couldn't record a first down to put the game away, instead punting the ball back to the Hawks with 1:36 remaining. Monmouth was able to drive into Robert Morris territory, reaching the 36-yard line, but Frazier's last gasp pass attempt to the end zone with 0.5 seconds left on the clock was knocked away by the Colonials. Robert Morris took an early 7-0 lead on its first possession of the game when Sinclair connected with King for a 19-yard touchdown pass. The Hawks tied it, 7-7, with just 29 seconds left in the first quarter when Frazier hit Mitchell Pollard with a six-yard touchdown pass. The game would enter halftime tied, 10-10, as Greg Langer booted a 34-yard field goal for the Colonials while Spillane connected for a 29-yard trifecta before intermission for Monmouth. The Hawks grabbed their first lead of the afternoon early in the third quarter thanks to great special teams play. Robert Morris went three-and-out on its first possession of the second half, and on the punt attempt a poor snap couldn't be handled. Patrick Gray picked up the loose ball for the Hawks and scampered 11 yards into the end zone to give Monmouth a 17-10 advantage. RMU was able to tie the game just over two minutes later when Justin Brooks scored from nine yards out. The score was set up by the RMU defense, as junior safety Cameron Chadwick intercepted Frazier and returned it 39 yards to the nine-yard line of the Hawks. On the next play, Brooks ran around the left end and galloped into the end zone untouched for the touchdown. Monmouth answered on its next possession, as Spillane capped a nine-play, 52-yard drive with a 36-yard field goal to push the Hawks in front, 20-17. The score remained that way until Sinclair engineered the fourth-quarter comeback with his second touchdown pass to King. Sinclair finished the afternoon 18-for-24 for 211 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. King tied a career-high with nine receptions, for 104 receiving yards, and two scores. With his performance, King broke a pair of RMU records, catching a pass for the 23rd straight game dating back to the 2009 season while also becoming the program's all-time leading receiver. Last Time Out - Robert Morris scored the winning touchdown in the final minute and rallied from an 11-point deficit to down Sacred Heart, 21-17 … Cameron Chadwick tallied his second interception of the afternoon to clinch the victory … The RMU defense, which allowed Sacred Heart just 87 yards of total offense in the second half, also helped the Colonials garner more yards per play than their opponent for the fourth-consecutive week … Evan Taylor ripped off a career-long 65-yard run to set up a Colonial score … Robert Morris has now won each of its last two games at Sacred Heart in the final minute … Paul Evans’ career-long 41-yard catch opened the game-winning drive. Cam The Man - Senior safety Cameron Chadwick earned NEC Defensive Player of the Week honors after leading the team to a win last week at Sacred Heart. Chadwick had a career-best two interceptions and also contributed nine tackles, a pass breakup and a half tackle for loss. Six of Chadwick’s nine tackles stopped the opponent short of a first down and six of his hits were also of the solo variety. Chadwick also teamed up for a big stop on a Colonial goal-line stand that kept the Pioneers out of the end zone. Go For It - RMU’s game-winning touchdown in last week’s 21-17 victory over Sacred Heart wasn’t exactly routine. The Colonials faced a fourth down situation with 39 seconds left and were well within field goal range for Greg Langer, who had already made two during the game. However, head coach Joe Walton went for the win and was rewarded when Nick Groat made his first-ever touchdown reception. Winner, Winner - Senior quarterback Jeff Sinclair led the game-winning drive in last week’s victory over Sacred Heart to rally RMU to a 21-17 comeback victory. In piloting the eight-play, 82-yard march, Sinclair extended the Colonials’ program record for most game-winning drives in the fourth quarter (or overtime) of a career to seven. Additionally, Sinclair is one of only two Colonials to lead RMU on a game-winning drive in at least three different years. One & Done - The Robert Morris defense has done a strong job keeping its opponent out of the end zone lately as the Colonials have allowed just three offensive touchdowns in the past three weeks. This is the case despite the fact that RMU’s last three foes have combined for 10 trips to the red zone in the past three contests. Offense Beware - True freshman cornerback Marcelis Branch has displayed a penchant for making big plays. He has forced five turnovers this season--interceptions and forced fumbles combined--a figure which puts him alone atop the NEC. Branch has actually forced a turnover in four of the past seven games. Sack Attack - RMU defensive lineman Nolan Nearhoof had a memorable day Oct. 13 at Bryant as he broke RMU’s all-time program record for career sacks. Nearhoof tied his single-game high with three and, in the process, became the first Colonial ever to surpass 20 sacks and currently has 24. Ray Gensler (2003-06) previously held the record with 19. Nearhoof claimed his second-consecutive All-NEC First Team honor in 2011 despite missing two games due to injury. In addition to topping the program in sacks, Nearhoof currently ranks as RMU's active leader in tackles (207) and tackles for loss (33.5). Nearhoof leads the NEC in sacks per game and is tied for 14th nationally. Experience Counts - When taking a look down the Robert Morris roster, the Colonials seem to have a bevy of experience at the defensive line position. Defensive linemen R.J. Cook, Farren Mason, Sam Miller, Steve Mitchell, Nolan Nearhoof and Chris Thompkins have combined for 113 starts during their time at RMU. Due to injuries, each member of the sextet saw starting assignments during the 2011 season. Mitchell and Nearhoof lead the way with 32 starts each followed by Miller with 25, although the first 22 of Miller's career actually came when he was a member of the offensive line. Mason is next in line, having earned the nod 19 times in his career. Start Me Up - Steve Mitchell enters Saturday’s game with the most consecutive starting assignments of any active Colonial. Mitchell has started 32 straight games at defensive end. Greg Langer is second in that category with 25 straight starts as placekicker. Jeff Sinclair is the Colonials’ active leader in overall starts with 35.

2012 Robert Morris Football Game Notes vs. Monmouth (11/17/12) - Page 6 Climbing the Charts - Robert Morris senior quarterback Jeff Sinclair is climbing the RMU record book in multiple categories as he concludes his career in 2012. With his two touchdown passes Oct. 20, Sinclair moved into sole possession of second place in career touchdowns responsible for at Robert Morris and currently has 72. Tim Levcik (1998-2001) holds the all-time RMU record in that category with 81. Sinclair is also second in career total offense (6,367), third in career touchdown passes (55) and fifth in career completions (423) and career passing yards (5,563) at RMU. His total offense per game average of 181.9 is second all-time at RMU, trailing only Levcik’s top mark of 191.4. Despite being a quarterback, Sinclair actually is fifth in career rushing touchdowns at Robert Morris (17) and moved into the top 10 in career rushing yards with his 84-yard performance against Lafayette. Go Deep - Donte Jeter has a chance to join some elite company entering the season finale. Jeter has hauled in 33 catches for 607 yards in 2012. In doing so, he became the sixth Colonial ever to post 600 receiving yards in a season. He needs 93 yards to become the just second Colonial ever to hit 700 in a season. Convert and Continue - RMU was 2-of-2 on fourth down in last week’s win and has converted at least one fourth down try in four straight games for the first time since 2004. RMU is 8-of-12 on fourth down in NEC play. Foot Joy - One of the most important aspects that senior Jeff Sinclair brings to the quarterback position at Robert Morris is his versatility. In a 17-13 victory over Duquesne Nov. 3, Sinclair rushed for an 11-yard touchdown on RMU's opening drive to give the Colonials a 7-0 lead. In 35 career games, Sinclair has rushed for 17 touchdowns. To put that in perspective, prior to Sinclair becoming the starter under center at RMU, quarterbacks combined for 16 rushing touchdowns in the first 156 games of the program’s history. First Scores - D.J. Pearson scored his first-career touchdown last week at Sacred Heart … Freshman D.J. Hayes caught a 38-yard pass for his first-career touchdown Oct. 27 @ Wagner … Fullback Ryan Thermil opened the scoring against CCSU with his first-career score Oct. 20 … Fullback Nick Groat and linebacker Brad Banas each notched their first-career TD's Oct. 13 at Bryant ... Linebacker Mike Neilson tallied his first TD Sept. 29 vs. Lafayette. First x 2 - When D.J. Pearson hauled in his first touchdown for RMU in last week’s win it also doubled as his first-career reception. This continued a recent Colonial tradition as fellow tight ends Tyler Digby and Paul Evans both broke into the end zone on their first-career receptions.

Last RMU Game Game #10 • Robert Morris 21, Sacred Heart 17 November 10, 2012 • Fairfield, Conn. Campus Field (Attendance: 1,336) - For the third time in the past four weeks, Robert Morris had a fourth-quarter rally as the Colonials posted a 21-17 victory over Sacred Heart after trailing 17-6. RMU took the lead for the first time with just 35 seconds left when Nick Groat hauled in his first-career touchdown reception. The fourth-down catch made head coach Joe Walton’s gamble pay off. Robert Morris kept the Pioneers from scoring on the last drive as Cameron Chadwick tallied his second interception to clinch the win. Although the offense provided the difference late in the game, RMU’s defense kept the Colonials within reach. For the third straight game, Robert Morris allowed just one offensive touchdown. Sacred Heart would strike first as the Pioneers used good field position to launch an eight-play, 41-yard drive that was capped off with a 4-yard pass. The Pioneers looked to double their lead on their next drive as they moved the ball inside the red zone to set up a firstand-goal chance. With Sacred Heart knocking on the door, the RMU defense held on two goal-line rushes to force a short field goal. After two punts, RMU drove into the red zone, and Greg Langer knocked through a 24-yard field goal to set the halftime score. Evan Taylor ripped off a career-long 65-yard run early in the second half and Langer soon followed with his second field goal of the day. On the Colonials’ next possession, a deflected pass attempt fell right into the arms of a Pioneer defender, and he would return it 14 yards to paydirt to push the host’s advantage to 17-6. Both defenses would take over for a stretch as each of the game’s next eight drives would result in minimal yardage. With the Colonials still trailing, 17-6, they took over possession on their own 24-yard line. RMU moved the ball into Pioneer territory on a 38-yard reverse by Donte Jeter. A 19-yard pass to Paul Evans then moved the ball into the red zone. On third-and-goal, Sinclair made a play fake and then lofted a pass to D.J. Pearson in the end zone. It was Pearson’s first-ever reception for the Colonials, but he wasn’t done. After scrambling away from a rush on the PAT, Sinclair again found Pearson to convert. The Colonials forced punts on each of the host's next two drives, and RMU took over on its own 18 with fewer than three minutes left. Sinclair hit Evans for 41 yards on the drive’s opening play to move the ball into Sacred Heart territory. Later in the drive, RMU faced fourth down-and-one from Sacred Heart’s two-yard line. The Colonials elected to go for it, and RMU surprised the Pioneers by sending Groat out of the backfield into the left corner of the end zone to take the lead.

Any Given Saturday - Entering Saturday’s contest against Monmouth, there are two Colonials who would have pretty good odds of seeing the field, judging solely by their past histories. Redshirt seniors Sanchez Faugue and Sam Miller have each appeared in 43 games in their RMU careers, tops among active players. Faugue has the distinction of competing in each of the past 43 Score By Quarters contests while Miller missed the 2010 season, but played in every game in Robert Morris 2008, 2009 and 2011. Senior Steve Mitchell is in hot pursuit of this duo as he Sacred Heart has seen the field in 42 games in his career, including 34 straight contests. Fresh Faces - As with any other year, the 2012 season has featured the first collegiate appearances for some newer Colonials. A total of 14 Colonials have made their first-career starts thus far this season. Among the 14 are a pair of true freshmen who have combined for 17 starts thus far as Max Robertson has started at left guard and Marcelis Branch at cornerback. Robertson and Branch were the second offensive lineman and cornerback, respectively, to make their first-career start in 2012, joining sophomore center Nick Faraci and sophomore cornerback Zach Washington. In total, 17 Colonials have competed in a RMU uniform for the first time this season.

2012 Robert Morris Football Game Notes vs. Monmouth (11/17/12) - Page 7 Making the Grade - Senior Nolan Nearhoof earned the highest academic honor in program history in late October as he was selected as a National Football Foundation (NFF) National Scholar-Athlete. Nearhoof was one of just 15 student-athletes from across all divisions of the NCAA to claim this honor and was the only student-athlete selected from the 121 schools that play at the FCS level. As a result of earning this distinction, Nearhoof is awarded an $18,000 scholarship to assist with postgraduate studies. Nearhoof, who plans to attend physical therapy school, became the first student-athlete in the history of the program to receive this accolade. The 15 honorees, a list that includes USC All-American Matt Barkley and Notre Dame All-American linebacker Manti Te’o, also comprise the list of finalists for the 2012 William V. Campbell Trophy that recognizes an individual as the best scholar-athlete in the nation. Making the Grade, II - Defensive lineman Nolan Nearhoof was named to the 2011 Capital One Academic All-America Second Team this past November, becoming only the second student-athlete in program history to earn two CoSIDA Academic All-American honors. Nearhoof had previously become the third player in program history to be named to an ESPN Academic All-America Team in 2010 when he earned second team accolades. Nearhoof owns a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.74 as a biology major and joined former Colonials Jonathan LeDonne (2001-04) and Ray Gensler (2003-06) to earn the honor. LeDonne, a linebacker, was named to the 2004 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America First Team, while Gensler, a defensive lineman, was a two-time honoree, earning second team accolades in 2005 and first team honors in 2006. Nearhoof was also named as the NEC Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the second-consecutive year. He was the fourth player in program history to claim that honor but the first to ever win it twice. Mighty Marcelis - Marcelis Branch was named as the NEC’s Rookie of the Week Oct. 22. That award marked the third NEC weekly accolade that Branch garnered in the span of a month as he was selected as both the NEC Defensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week Oct. 1 after forcing two turnovers and contributing 15 tackles to help the Colonials to a win over previously undefeated Lafayette. The most recent recognition made Branch the seventh Colonial in program history to earn multiple NEC Rookie of the Week honors. In addition, Branch became the first NEC student-athlete on the defensive side of the ball to earn multiple Rookie of the Week honors in the same season since 2008. Branch had a large impact against CCSU (10/20) as he posted six tackles, four solo, and forced a Blue Devil turnover by making a jumping interception. He also added three pass breakups, tied for the fourth most in RMU single-game history. Regulation Only - Entering Saturday’s game against Monmouth, Robert Morris will have gone 68 consecutive games without having a contest go into overtime. That is the longest such streak in program history since the NCAA instituted overtime in college football for the 1996 season. In fact, every other current member of the NEC has played at least one overtime game since RMU’s last such contest. The last time the Colonials headed to overtime was Oct. 14, 2006 when RMU upset No. 19 Central Connecticut State, 23-17 (2OT), in what was the program’s first-ever game against a nationally ranked opponent. After Jacky Candy (2006) intercepted a Blue Devil pass right near the goal line in the second extra session, Erik Cwalinski (2005-08) hooked up with Mario Hines (2004, 2006-07) for a game-winning 14-yard touchdown pass on 3rd-and-12. That contest against the Blue Devils remains the only home game in RMU history to go into overtime. For Starters - When Robert Morris took the field Nov. 10 against Sacred Heart, it sported its 10th starting lineup on offense in its 10th game. However, if 2011 was any indication, RMU fans shouldn’t be surprised. Due to a number of injuries as well as changes with the depth chart, Robert Morris used nine different starting lineups on offense last season and has used 20 different starting combinations in its last 22 games. The starters actually stayed the same for three straight weeks last October, but RMU has had changes in its lineup from one week to the next since that point. The Colonials were forced into starting three different quarterbacks and also had five different tailbacks/fullbacks start a game in 2011. The only returning Colonial on offense who started every game in 2011 is lineman A.J. Dalton.

Head Coach-In-Waiting John Banaszak

Team

Robert Morris University Director of Athletics Craig Coleman, M.D., announced this past January that RMU Assistant Head Football Coach John Banaszak has been named the program's coach-in-waiting. Banaszak, who has spent the last nine years as an assistant coach and assistant head coach with the Colonials, will take over for current head coach Joe Walton at the conclusion of the 2013 season. "Coach Walton has done a tremendous job starting the program from scratch and developing it to its current level," Coleman said. "We are blessed to have another outstanding coach on our staff in Coach Banaszak to provide leadership and excellence when Walton retires." The 2011 season marked Banaszak's ninth season as a member of the Robert Morris football coach staff, including his fourth campaign as assistant head coach. Among his many duties with the program, Banaszak is responsible for tutoring the defensive line and the special teams unit. During Banaszak's time at Robert Morris, the Colonials have led the Northeast Conference in total defense four times (2004, 2006, 2009 and 2010) and have finished in the top five in the league on eight occasions. Banaszak was a key component to a 2010 defense that led the NEC in total defense, allowing an average of 312.6 yards per game, and coaching a defensive line that recorded 13 of RMU's 21 sacks as the Colonials claimed the NEC's inaugural berth in the FCS Playoffs. In 2006, Banaszak helped tutor an RMU defense that led I-AA in total defense, allowing an average of just 228.36 yards per game. Under Banaszak's guidance, former defensive lineman Ray Gensler (2003-06) tied the RMU single-season school record for sacks with 11 in 2006 en route to earning All-NEC First Team honors. Gensler also established a career record in sacks with 19 thanks to 11 in 2006, and the Robert Morris defensive line that season recorded 28 and-a-half of RMU's school record 34 sacks. Eight of the 11 players in school history to earn All-NEC recognition on the defensive line have come under the tutelage of Banaszak, including Nolan Nearhoof, who led the Colonials with seven and-a-half sacks last year en route to being named to the 2011 All-NEC First Team. Prior to RMU, Banaszak served as the 30th head coach in Washington & Jefferson football history, leading the Presidents to a record of 38-9 (.809) in his four seasons on the sidelines between 1999 and 2002. In each of those four campaigns, he was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference Coach of the Year and ranks third on the college's all-time victory list. A 1975 graduate of Eastern Michigan with a bachelor's degree in health, physical education and recreation, Banaszak signed as a free agent with the Pittsburgh Steelers prior to the 1975 season and was one of only three rookies to make the defending Super Bowl champion team out of training camp. Primarily a special teams player on Pittsburgh's Super Bowl X championship team, Banaszak started five games the following season and then started at both right end and inside tackle in 1977 before suffering a knee injury that forced him to the injured reserve list. Between 1978 and 1980, Banaszak started 45 regular-season games at defensive end as the Steelers won back-to-back Super Bowl championships. In Super Bowl XIII, Banaszak recorded six tackles, including a pair of sacks, and a fumble recovery in a 35-31 victory over the Dallas Cowboys, which garnered him Defensive Player of the Game honors. The following year in Super Bowl XIV, Banaszak finished with five tackles and a sack in a 31-19 victory over the Los Angeles Rams.

2012 Robert Morris Football Game Notes vs. Monmouth (11/17/12) - Page 9 No Tickets - When RMU takes to its home field in front of a sellout crowd, good things seem to happen. The latest example came in the team’s 31-28, last-second, Homecoming victory over Lafayette, a team which was previously unbeaten and receiving votes in the national polls. That win moved RMU to 5-2 (.714) all-time when playing in front of a sold-out Joe Walton Stadium. RMU has won four consecutive home games that have been sellouts, a stretch which includes each of the last three Homecoming games. The first sellout at “The Joe” was also the first-ever game it hosted, Sept. 17, 2005. Get To The Chopper - A quick glance at RMU’s record when broken down proves how important it is the Colonials get off to a good start in contests. When Robert Morris is leading at halftime, the program owns an all-time record of 86-12 (.878). When trailing at the break, Robert Morris owns a mark of 11-65-1 (.149). Even going into halftime tied is beneficial, as the Colonials own an overall record of 13-8 (.619) in such games. The Magic Mark - Since the Colonials began play in 1994 there have been 73 games in which Robert Morris has scored 30 or more points. In those contests RMU boasts a record of 68-5 (.932), including a record of 40-5 (.889) in games in which the team scores between 30 and 39 points. In games in which the Colonials score 40 or more points, RMU is a perfect 28-0. RMU Football Historical Tidbits - The inaugural running back at Robert Morris, the late Tim Hall (1994-95), rushed for 2,908 yards in his two seasons as a Colonial. Hall still owns the FCS season and career records for yards per carry, with his season record of 8.7 yards per carry set in 1994 and his twoyear career record of 7.4 established in 1994 and 1995 ... Hall also ranks fourth all-time in the FCS in both rushing yards per game (153.1) and allpurpose yards per game (194.8) ... Former Colonial linebacker James Noel (2002-05) ranks fifth in the FCS record book for career tackles per game (10.7), while his career tackle total of 437 takedowns ranks 12th all-time ... Former linebacker and current assistant coach Alex DiMichele (2008-10) averaged 10 tackles per game over his three years in a Robert Morris uniform, which ranks 11th all-time in the FCS record book ... Robert Morris has led the nation in passing defense twice in the past 13 years. The Colonials topped the charts in both 1999, when they conceded just 80.80 yards per game through the air, and 2006, when they allowed only 88.70 yards per game via the pass. Did You Know? - Robert Morris owns the all-time FCS record for the most consecutive quarters while holding an opponent scoreless. During the 1996 season, the Colonials went 15 straight quarters without allowing a single point. In fact, the record-setting streak occurred at the beginning of the season. RMU posted three straight shutouts -- 20-0 against Mercyhurst (9/7), 38-0 against Butler (9/14) and 7-0 against Towson State (9/21) -- to open the campaign and then held Central Connecticut State (9/28) scoreless for the first three quarters before finally allowing a point for the first time all season. In all, Robert Morris went 234:04 before allowing a point in 1996. RMU went 9-2 (.818) in 1996, claiming a share of the NEC championship, and conceded just 12.9 points per game.
