His swim teammates held him up on the swim platform to enable him to dive at the start of a race (the officials modified the rules to allow it). Since that time, he has had a desire to give other children—both disabled and able-bodied—the ability to get the same support that he received. “I want the children that come through our program to be nurtured into realizing their full potential.
