What are the ingredients for making a community extra special? A sense of connectedness, the stunning beauty of the McDowell Mountains, diverse and thriving businesses, plentiful neighborhood parks, unique gathering spaces, gorgeous weather (that is finally starting to arrive)? Those are all important. But the biggest differentiator from other neighborhoods is the people. And we have some impactful and selfless folks here in DC Ranch: residents that volunteer their time and talents to help others and create a sense of magic in our community. This month, we recognize and celebrate community volunteers that received a Volunteer of the Year award from the DC Ranch Community Council. Read all about these difference makers on pages 10 and 11. Another critical ingredient to a vibrant community is a strong financial foundation. Both the Community Council and Ranch Association, through thoughtful budgeting and financial stewardship, continue to take action to support well-funded reserves for repair and replacement of assets, capital funds for future enhancements and balanced budgets. Learn more by attending a budget meeting this month. What ingredients combine to create a magical day for you in DC Ranch? Maybe it’s a hike through the Reata Wash, an iced tea at AJs, gardening in your backyard, and grilling out under the stars with family and friends, or a day shopping on Market Street with dinner at Grimaldi’s overlooking the park. Whatever that may be, I wish it for you in spades.

Living Connected DC Ranch seamlessly connects people to the beauty of both the created environment and the natural Sonoran Desert. Residents feel a sense of community, connecting with each other in friendship and common interest. It is a thoughtfully crafted community designed with unprecedented attention to detail. DC Ranch has a distinctive governance structure with ample resources that exist to ensure a legacy of an amenity-rich and active way of life. The highest standards and a convenient north Scottsdale location establish DC Ranch as a nationally desirable place to live with an exceptional quality of life and premium home values.
