Günay: İzmir sinerji bölgesi olacak
Hükümet projesi olarak algıladıkları EXPO’da yerel yönetimler ile birlikte hareket ettiklerini belirten Kültür ve Turizm Bakanı Ertuğrul Günay, “EXPO 2020’nin İzmir’e gelmesi Ege Bölgesi için çok önemli. İzmir burada sinerji bölgesi olacak. Geçtiğimiz sefer de sağlık sloganı ile yürüdük. Bu temel doğru. İşin mutlaka ulaşım ve turizm boyutu olacak. O yüzden bunun içindeyiz” dedi. Ege Bölgesi için turizmde yeni bir tarz yaratmaları gerektiğini söyleyen Günay, “Bu bölgede yatak kapasitesi eksikliğimiz var. Antalya tek başına bölgenin

Günay: İzmir will be a synergy region
Minister of Culture and Tourism Ertuğrul Günay, who said that they were working with local authorities on EXPO which they considered a governmental project, said “It is important for the Aegean Region that Izmir secured to host EXPO 2020. Izmir will be the synergy region here. Last time health was again our slogan. The theme is correct. Tourism and transportation will also be in-
volved and that’s why we are here.” Günay, who stated that they needed to create a new style in tourism for the Aegean Region, continued, “We have a problem with lack of beds. Antalya alone has more beds than the region. We need to build more intimate hotels in historical regions rather than big hotels, extend the time of stay and introduce guests to the different natural beauties in the region.” Günay, who stated that they were going to make İnciraltı Europe’s biggest green area with or without EXPO, added “If we crown this area with EXPO the entire world will see it. But we will make it happen nevertheless.”
Günay will also go to Paris
Günay, who said that he too was going to go to the second presentation in Paris in November, pointed out that they were going to highlight gastronomy and
