Mission Statement The Mission of Riverside Military Academy is to prepare ethical young men of character for success in college and in life through the provision of a rigorous academic program, leadership opportunities, competitive athletics, extensive co-curricular activities, and the structure and discipline inherent in a military preparatory school environment.

Cadet Honor Code At Riverside Military Academy, all students are required to behave according to the Cadet Honor Code, which reads: "A cadet will not lie, cheat, steal, nor tolerate those who do. A cadet will conduct himself with integrity and honor in all aspects of his life."

Our Campus Riverside sits on the shores of Lake Sidney Lanier in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The stunning 206-acre campus and facilities rival those of many small colleges. Located in the suburban community of Gainesville, GA, Riverside is only one hour north of Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Riverside's rolling admission policy means we can accept cadets anytime prior to the last two months of the school year. However, we encourage most students to enroll for fall semester or our summer academic program.

2017Â High School Summer L.E.A.D.

High school students should select two one-semester classes from the list on the next page. Care should be taken in selecting the appropriate semester for each class. Students may take both semesters of a year-long course (typical for students seeking original credit), or they may select different courses for first and second semesters (typical for students seeking to repeat courses previously failed). Example: If a student previously failed the second semester of Biology, he should register for the second semester during Summer L.E.A.D. Academy, and not the first.

How L.E.A.D. ESL Works at Riverside Your son will improve his English skills by listening, speaking, and writing in English for at least six hours each day. Your son will also have an intensive introduction to the leadership, discipline, and structure for which Riverside Military Academy is known. Additionally, if your son scores high enough on his end-of-program English proficiency test, he will be exempt from taking ESL in the fall of his first semester at Riverside.

All L.E.A.D. Academy students participate in instruction designed to improve their study skills.

ESL Bridge Program Following the four-week on-campus ESL L.E.A.D. Academy program, your son will have the opportunity to travel and tour a variety of historical sites along the East Coast as part of the ESL Bridge Program. The specific locations students travel to each year are chosen based on cultural, historical, and educational significance. In the past, students have traveled to Washington, D.C., Boston, and New York.

2017 ESL Bridge Program

Students who participate in the ESL Bridge Program have an exciting time traveling to unique sites while establishing friendships with other boys from around the world and across the United States. Students are accompanied by Riverside Military Academy staff throughout the entire trip. Following their unique East Coast travel, students discuss, read, and write about the places they visited and the things they learned. In this way, they are able to draw on their experiences, expanding their vocabulary and linguistic sophistication. When your son returns to the classroom, he will refocus on essential language skills, sharpening his understanding of English, and preparing for the upcoming school year.
