Adult Fitness Absolute Beginners Yoga

Ages: 13 & up This class will give the student an excellent foundation which will enable them to move safely and confidently in any subsequent movement class that they take; not only yoga, but Pilates and fitness as well. This foundation will include instruction on: deep breathing techniques, the core engagement, good posture, how to safely stretch and strengthen muscles, and how to engage muscles to support the skeleton so as to prevent injury. The beginning yoga asanas and relaxation poses for stress reduction will be explained and practiced.
