This just might be the biggest little house in Fieldston

F

rom the street side, 4491 Manhattan College Parkway looks like a diminutive center hall colonial. Indeed, Julius Gregory, one of the Fieldston Historic District’s storied architects, designed it as a typical colonial revival building. But looks can be deceiving, especially when the design tucks hidden dimensions into an extension that includes a garage, a breakfast area and au pair bedroom with en suite bath. The exterior of the house features hard-to-duplicate details like a slate roof, gently arched windows and gabled dormers.
