CONTRIBUTORS Elisabeth Caren

As a portrait photographer, Elisabeth Caren is inspired by each person’s unique beauty and the moments of creative collaboration between the subject and photographer. In addition to shooting Viva’s celebrity covers, Caren’s work has been featured in Elle, InStyle, People, New York Magazine and Entertainment Weekly. Her fine art work was recently shown at Art Toronto and was featured on the hit MTV comedy series Awkward. “Shooting with Jaimie was the best it can be between a photographer and a subject because she is open, fun, gives so much and her beauty is incredibly inspiring,” says Caren of this issue’s cover model. See more of her work in “Jaimie’s Bright World” (page 56).

Néma McGlynn

Néma McGlynn is a registered dietitian who received her bachelor’s degree in human nutrition from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia. She then completed her dietetic internship at the London Health Sciences Centre in London, Ontario, where her interest in probiotics began when she was able to see, first-hand, the beneficial effects certain probiotic strains had on patients suffering from specific health conditions. Since November 2011, she has been the in-store dietitian for Loblaws® at Maple Leaf Gardens. See her work in this issue in “Understanding Probiotics” (page 44).

Arash Moallemi

Growing up enamored with his father’s blueprints and architecture books, Arash Moallemi began his love affair with photography. Since that initial spark, Moallemi has contributed to numerous magazines including: WallPaper*, Hello!, Azure, Gioia, and Ocean Drive. He also works on short motion projects and directs commercial spots for clients including the LCBO. Moallemi currently resides in Toronto with his wife, Katherine and Kaya, their Siberian husky. See his food photography in this issue in “The Weekend Cleanse” (page 64).

Beth-Anne Jones

Beth-Anne Jones is one of the founding mothers of the parenting blog 4Mothers1Blog that explores the ins-and-outs of motherhood, and the joys (and frustrations) of family life in the city. Jones is a mother of three active boys and knows how difficult it can be to find time to take care of yourself. In this issue she contemplates whether a celebrity body after baby is possible for us mere mortals in “Mommy Tummy” (page 40). 800.887.6009 14
