Built in 1946, and fully reconstructed in the winter of 1999/2000, the Kažimir is one of the largest wooden vessels in our offer. When the Šango family from Privlaka, a place close to Zadar, started with rebuilding, they intended to make a “completely new” boat. All existing superstructures were removed and even the ship’s hull has been entirely remodelled. The hard work and effort paid off, as the Kažimir turned out to be not only the largest wooden vessel at that time, but also to be the first vessel featuring on-deck cabins for all passengers. While captain Kažo (also known as Braco) and his father Kaže are responsible for steering the boat and other seamen’s work aboard, his wife Zdenka takes care of the guest’s wellbeing. During the last winters they have invested a lot of work, diligence and money to refresh the ship. Every guest who has already been on board the
Kažimir will notice this immediately - whether in the saloon, in the cabins or on deck. Cook Ljubica proves which tasty meals can be prepared in the galley, while steward Anthony provides cool drinks. The familycrew is supported by Zdenka’s and Braco’s son Renato. General data: Length 39 m, built in 1946, reconstructed in 2000, renovated 2016-2019. 38 beds in 16 cabins with shower/toilet and individually controllable air conditioning. Main deck: 6 triple cabins with queen-size bed and 3rd bed above, 2 double cabins with queen-size bed. Upper deck: 4 double cabins with queen-size bed, 4 twin cabins with bunk beds. Other: Sun deck (150 m2) with 15 deck chairs, tables with benches on deck for about 28 guests, air-conditioned saloon for 38 guests.
