BILL QUISTORF ’80 of Everett, Wash., right, is chief pilot for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department and a search and rescue helicopter pilot working with Everett Mountain Rescue. He recently met Jim Whittaker, the first American to summit Mount Everest in 1963. Whittaker told Quistorf a couple of his own helicopter rescue adventures.
