YOU WILL START BY WATCHING TWO VIDEOS ABOUT HABITAT! TO PLAY WATCH THE VIDEO JUST HIT THE BIG PLAY BUTTON IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PICTURE. AFTER EACH HABITAT THERE IS AN ACTIVITY FOR YOU GUYS TO PLAY!! • CHAPTER 1 •

FOREST HABITAT Welcome to the forest! A forest is a place with many trees, grass, bushes, and other plants. Forests can be found all over the world. Let’s meet some of the animals that live in the forest.


This is Daphne the DEER.

Daphne likes to eat plants and acorns.

Katrisha the KANGAROO likes to hop all around the forest.

She and her little joey like to eat grass and leaves.

Roger the RACCOON is over there in the tree!

Roger like to eat almost anything. He will eat little animals like mice, but he also like to eat plants, nuts and

• CHAPTER 2 •

DESERT HABITAT We landed in the desert! A desert is a very dry place covered with sand. Instead of trees like a forest a desert has many cacti. Now let’s see what kind of animals are living here.


If you look down low in the sand you can see Berny the BURROWING OWL.

Berny lives in small holes in the ground.

Berny like to eat a variety of thing , but his favorite are mice and insects.

Across the sand you can see Robert the BOBCAT.

Robert likes to eat small animal like rabbits and birds.

Next you can see Chloe the COYOTE.

Chloe likes to eat rodents and other dead animals.

Now it is time to draw and color Berny the Burrowing owl. Just choose a color and connect the dots with you mouse. Once you draw him you can use different colors to bring him to life!

• CHAPTER 3 •

FRESHWATER HABITAT

We are now in the freshwaters! Freshwater habitats are where all the all the animals are wet and live in water! Lets see which animals live in the water.


If you look into the water you will Fredrick the FISH swimming with all of his friends.

Fish like to eat different kinds of food. It depends on their size.

Fredrick’s favorite food to eat is plankton.

Terry the TURTLE lives near the water. He loves to swim in the water and also watch his friends play.

When Harry gets scared he hides in his shell.

Harry enjoys eating sponges, jellyfish, and other soft animals. 16


Carly the CROCODILE’s looks like a big scary animal.

She is a very dangerous animal and will eat anything that passes her! She will eat snakes, fish, deer and many other animals.

• CHAPTER 4 •

OCEAN HABITATS

Now lets move to the big body of water that we love to swim in! The ocean has many animals and plants in it. The ocean has waves and it is where we swim when we go to the beach.


This is Steve the Shark.

Shark’s are animals we do not want to have as pets. They have big teeth and eat many different animals that live in the ocean. 20


If we swim across the water we will see Oliver the Octopus.

Oliver likes to eat little crabs, snails, fish, turtles, and even other octopuses.

If we keep swimming we can meet Tanya the Sea Turtle.

Sea Turtles like to eat crabs, lobsters, and jelly fish that they find swimming around. 22

• CHAPTER 5 •

ARCTIC HABITATS The oceans led us all the way up to the Arctic! Th Arctic is freezing cold and is made of both ocean and land that is all covered in ice and snow. Burr!


Just across the snow you can see Arnold the Arctic fox.

Arctic foxes love to eat eggs, birds, fish, and dead animals. 25


Over here is the family of Paul the Polar Bear!

They like to eat seals and walruses. 26


On top of the next ice burg we can meet Rosie the Reindeer.

Rosie and the Reindeer mostly eat lichen which grows on trees. They also eat grass when they can find it. 27

• CHAPTER 6 •

JUNGLE HABITAT

We made it to the Jungle! The jungle is a very warm and wet place with many colorful trees and plants.


Lions hunt and eat big animals like zebras, gazelles, and buffalos. Leo the Lion is the king of the jungle.

High up in the tree you can spot Jasmine the Jaguar.

Jaguars like to eat warthogs, reptiles, and eggs.

Elle the Elephant.

Elephants like to eat grass, leaves, twigs, bark, and fruit. They also drink a lot of water every day. 32
