INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS Alexander College is committed to provide the best possible facilities to guide students emerging from all over the globe; Student Advisory Service is responsible to guide the students through their transitional period from career planning to accommodation with full social and cultural programmes. Student Welfare Officer Student Welfare Officer is the first point of consultation in any matter regarding the solution of your problems whether they are of academic nature or the matters of your dependents etc. Airport Meeting Service Overseas students arriving in the UK for the first time may wish to be met by the College Representative at the airport. Students wishing to be collected from the airport must inform the College of the following at least four weeks before the arrival date: Airline and the Flight Number will be required to arrange for this. From the airport, students are brought to the College, except for weekends when they are taken directly to their lodging. This service is available free of charge. Medical Care For Overseas Students Overseas students enrolled on courses of more than six months duration are entitled to free hospital treatment through the UK National Health Service. All students must register with a local doctor. Students encountering any difficulties in obtaining medical care must consult the College immediately. Accommodation Alexander College can arrange, on request, accommodation for its students. Initially, the Alexander College can reserve accommodation with a host family within reasonable travelling distance. The weekly rent for this type of accommodation may range from ÂŁ40 to ÂŁ85 per week. The majority of the students reserve accommodation for an initial period of 4 weeks. After the initial period they may extend the contract beyond the initially reserved period or look for alternative, usually cheaper, accommodation. For accommodation to be arranged by the Alexander College, students must inform the Student Facilities Manager at least four weeks before accommodation is required and 1. Fill the Accommodation Reservation Form 2. Send a draft of ÂŁ420.00 payable to Alexander College (which is one month's rent deposit and is adjusted against the first 4 weeks' rent) any excess amount is refunded to students.

Work As a foreign student in U.K all individuals have a right to work part time (20 hours/ week) during the term of study. The Home Office sets the working hours for further detail please visit www.dss.gov. Bank Accounts Student Welfare Officer will guide you during the opening of a student bank account as a foreign student. Students must bring bank statements/ financial documents or official bank letter of their sponsor from their home country. TFL Student Discount Scheme (18+ Student Oyster photo card) All full time students are entitled to apply for student Oyster card scheme provided that your college is in the list of colleges who can issue student oyster card forms. Alternatively you can apply on line and your college will verify your name and you will receive your Student Oyster Card at your home address. A fee of ÂŁ5 will be charged by Transport of London. Accreditation Service for International Colleges Alexander College has been accredited by Accreditation Service for International Colleges (ASIC) for independent, further and higher education. Applicants over the age of 21 who do not hold one of the required entrance qualifications may register for the programme providing they have been in full-time employment for a minimum of three years and hold a senior supervisory or managerial position.


GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN LEGAL STUDIES NQF Level 6 This programme has been developed for those who have an interest in legal studies and wish to develop their general knowledge of the basic concepts of law. The programme is particularly suitable for those whose activities involve them in aspects of law and legislation and also serves as a basis for further professional legal study.

GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN MARITIME MANAGEMENT NQF Level 6 The Maritime Management programme will serve as an excellent route for students who ultimately seek full professional status and will provide first class underpinning knowledge for the mainstream degrees in Shipping and Maritime Management. It will also provide them with a qualification which will enable them to progress to higher level commercial management or specialised business/management programmes at a later stage in their business or academic careers

GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN MARKETING NQF Level 6 This programme is designed for those who seek to develop their marketing skills and knowledge. It is suitable for both business students and for those who may be working in an Advertising, Sales, Marketing or PR environment. Alternatively, you can download the form. 

A registration fees of £100 (non-refundable). (If your application is not accepted the registration fee will be returned to you). Cheques and banker's drafts must be made payable to Alexander College with a copy of the applicant's passport.

Two passport size photographs (taken at least in the last 3 months)

Copies of your previous certificates. (examination results slips, educational certificates, degree etc),

As well as letters from past and present employers confirming work experience (if applicable).If you are waiting for references or final exam results you may still send your application and may be accepted on a provisional basis. Any remaining documents required for the Admission must be submitted to the Admissions Office before registration.

As soon as the Admission office receives your application form, it is passed to the relevant department for enrolment decision. This process usually takes 2-3 days. If the course director accepts the student in the requested programme then the letters of acceptance and terms & policy are sent out to the student. After the acceptance, if the student wishes to enrol in that course, he/she is required to send a deposit through a bank draft payable to Alexander College for the amount specified in Letter of Offer and send it to the College Admissions Office. Upon receiving the fees deposit, certificate of enrolment is issued. At this stage, a student may send the deposit if he/she wants Alexander College to arrange their accommodation. In this case, a letter confirming their accommodation in London is also issued.

FEE REFUND POLICY Our refund policy is set out keeping in mind the situations a student may face. A decision taken by Registrar will be final in this matter. We advise that you read our refund policy with care and clarify any queries with us before making any payments. Payments that we receive from you towards registration or fee deposit etc. is also a confirmation that you have read our refund policy and related terms and conditions and agree to abide by them.
