Chamber Letter
a message from the LYNBrooK ChamBer presideNt
It has been my honor to serve as the president of the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce for the past 18+ months. As a business owner and a long time resident of the village of Lynbrook I am so grateful for the opportunity to run our great organization. The job of the president can be overwhelming and no one person can handle it alone. I would be remiss If I did not thank the rest of the Chamber board for all the work they do to keep the Chamber of Commerce moving forward.
The goal of the Chamber of Commerce is to help the Lynbrook business community continue to thrive. We have been fortunate to welcome many new businesses into the village within the past year. We continue to see more and more vacant store fronts being filled by unique and exciting new businesses.
We are very excited to see real estate development within the village as well. Anyone who has driven past the site of the old feather factory building will no longer see the abandoned eyesore that has sat vacant for far too long. We are confident that the construction of the new state of the art apartment building will help to bolster and further expand the retail and dining options available to the community. These developers could have chosen to go anywhere on Long Island and they have chosen Lynbrook. They see the value in our prime South Shore location that still maintains that small-town feel that we all have come to know and love about Lynbrook. We look forward to welcoming the new residents who will inhabit those apartments and patronize our local businesses.
The Chamber understands that in order to have a strong economic environment we must have a strong community. We are truly blessed to have leaders, business owners, educators, and citizens who realize that we all share in the responsibility of creating economic success and happiness within our community.
The Chamber has the absolute pleasure of celebrating with all our members! Whether that is a ribbon cutting for a new or relocated business, an anniversary, our networking mixers, or exciting events around town, we look forward to supporting and celebrating with you!
Sincerely, Cory Hirsch President Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce
