Summer is wax season.

o many things to do, so many places to go! This month, we’re all about rubgy. As a sport, it’s fun to watch (and did you read about the rivalry between the participating teams?!). Fast-paced and fun, you’ll definitely want to see who wins this year at the Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale Rugby Bowl: Beauty & The Beast. But of course, in Scottsdale fashion, this event also has so many “extras.” Check out the innovative fashion show by Phoenix Fashion Week between the matches, and try your hand (err, arm) at a match with the world’s best arm wrestler. Check out the story and meet one of the players on page 44. If you’re looking to head out of town, we share some unique places to visit around the state on page 70. I actually haven’t been to a few of those yet, so they’re on my list for this summer. Who doesn’t like a quick road trip?! A few more must-adds for your calendar—catching a performance with each of the up-and-coming performers we featured in our story on page 48. We profiled six local people to watch who are certainly rising stars. It sounds like April is gearing up to be another busy month. If you want to take a break with a lazy, relaxing day somewhere in there, we’ve also got amazing brunch spots to check out (page 116). Sounds perfect to me!
