Each month, Scottsdale Health features one local single. This month, meet…

Julie Age: 49 About me: I’m the person who strikes up conversations with strangers everywhere I go. My friends call me a “people gatherer.” My work involves public speaking and private coaching to train people to make better decisions in their business and personal life – so being a people person comes in very handy. I look for the humor in everything. I’m Midwest born and rooted, and an Arizona State University grad who loves dogs, sports, the performing arts, CrossFit, yoga and meditation. I have a huge sweet tooth, especially for cake. I don’t have human kids but have a goofy, spirited dog who makes me laugh constantly. I believe 20-minute naps can change your life. Feeling offended is a waste of energy. As my father always said, “it’s a great life!”

My favorite TV show is: Game of Thrones. I read all of the books too. The show has a talented cast, complex character development, beautiful settings and costumes and a bit of fantasy. All the ingredients for an interesting life! What I’m looking for in a significant other:   A man who makes me laugh, challenges my intellect and can keep up with my sarcastic wit. He needs to be active, social and financially stable with a refined sensibility. I like a mind open to new things. I come from a very large family so he can’t be too shy! The most important qualities to me are:  Personal responsibility, accountability and generosity. The least important qualities to me are: He likes chick flicks.
