October 28, 2015 Wayne Francis Crapser, age 70 of Richland Center, passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on October 28th, 2015. Wayne was born on December 9, 1944 to Walter and Dorothy (Kidd) Crapser of Ithaca, the fourth of five children. His childhood and teenage years were spent working on the family farm, where he developed a great love of the outdoors and the understanding of the value of hard work. He attended elementary school at St. Mary’s in Keyesville and went on to graduate from Ithaca High School in 1963. Wayne married his high school sweet-

of Buena Vista, as a board member of the Sextonville Sanitary District, a member of The Richland Hospital Foundation, and on the board of Richland County NHS. He also took great pride as serving as an assistant coach of both the Richland Center and Ithaca High School football teams in recent years. Wayne was a very outgoing and social person with a great sense of humor and had an infectious laugh recognized by many. He was known to be humble and honest, a man of good character. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed many years of bow hunting, gun hunting, and fishing. He particularly enjoyed his yearly fishing trip to Canada with the guys. He was a lifelong fan of all kinds of sports, playing league softball for many years and was an active bowler until the time of his passing. The world was a better place with Wayne in it. Wayne is survived by his wife Bette of Richland Center; two daughters: Shannon (Keene) Marin of Fitchburg and Shelly Reyzek (Brooke Dobbs) of Richland Center; 6 grandchildren: Chloe Marin, Gabe Marin, Dakota Juno, Quinn Juno, Tatum Reyzek, and Te hya Dobbs. His sib-

lings: John (Judy) Crapser of Viroqua; Gene (Carol) Crapser of Apple Valley, MN; Mary Ellen (Ron) Larson of Fredericksburg, VA, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Mass in memory of Wayne will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Richland Center. Monsignor Roger Scheckel will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation was held on Monday, November 2, 2015 at the Stafford Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with the rosary starting at 3:30 P.M. Visitation will also be held at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass. The Stafford Funeral Home in Richland Center is assisting the family with arrangements.
