A GROUP OF COMPANIES FROM THE EUROPEAN SPORTS CLUSTERS WILL VISIT BRAZIL IN A JOINT TRADE MISSION Spanish, Dutch and French companies will visit associations, clubs, institutions and enterprises in Brazil and will participate in the Expo Estádio Fair (São Paulo), in the course of which meetings between European and Brazilian companies will be held. The trade mission to Brazil is part of the European project EU4SportsClusters, co-funded by the European Commission and led by ACC1Ó, the Catalan competitiveness agency, and involves the participation of some European sports cluster organisations, namely, INDESCAT (Spain), INNOSPORTNL (the Netherlands) and SPORALTEC (France). The project aims to facilitate the internationalization of European SMEs dedicated to sports using clusters as a tool. Within this framework, a total of 9 companies from these European sports clusters will visit Brazil from the 19th to the 23rd of November in an unprecedented mission in the sports sector in order to gain a better understanding of the Brazilian market and to establish business contacts with local companies. From the 19th to the 21st, the European companies will visit their counterparts as well as sports clubs, associations and institutions from the sports world so as to become familiar with this sector in the South American country. At the same time, they will be present at the Expo Estádio Fair, held together with Expo Esporte in São Paulo between 21st and 23rd of November, where they will be able to exhibit their products and hold bilateral meetings with Brazilian counterparts (B2B Event) to lay the groundwork for possible collaboration and future business opportunities. With a population of over 190 million people and accounting for 40% of the GDP in South America, Brazil has become an emerging market with the most attractive and best business opportunities worldwide. Brazil, with its economic and political stability, natural resources, competitive labour and investment programs, is considered the industry leader in the area. At the same time, international events related to sports to be held in Brazil in the forthcoming years bring this country even closer to the sports sector. On the other hand, Catalan, Dutch and French companies have many high added value products and services specialized in this market, with potential for development in Brazil. To organize this trade mission, EU4SportsClusters works with Secartys and Mercados Exteriores, which have extensive experience in the internationalization of companies, and which will be responsible for preparing tailor-made agendas, customized for each company.
