Maurizio Anzeri In this piece maurizio Anzeri uses lines to create a face. The face is sca=ered with circles. The face is the colours of a human face. The lines are a pale colour and go over the face.
Nick Cave In this piece, Nick Cave uses objects to make the image of a person. He uses many different to create this piece. The shape is a human body, and at the top is a load of objects, making no parHcular image. This relates to the piece I intend to make as it uses things to make the image of a person.
Anne=e messager In this piece Anne=e Messager creates a heart out of objects. Its got a rough line and many lines going down. Its colour involves black, grey and white. It relates to the piece I intend to make as it is making an image out of something else.
Marcus Harvey In this piece Marcus Harvey has created a collage of a person, using a mosaic style of using small squares. The colour scheme is in black and white. There is no line, it is all just shading. This piece relates to what I intend to do as it is a collage of a person, and that is what I was interested in making.
David hockney In this piece David hockney has created a image of an elderly woman, using images of the woman from different angle. The theme of this piece is the human form. It relates to what I intend to do because it involves human form, and collage.
Robert Birze In this piece Birze has created a piece of a landscape of two buildings. It has been created using images of the place. It relates well to the piece I intend to do as it is a collage.
Statement of intent • What ideas are you exploring in your final major project? I am considering making of collage of an iconic person, using pictures of that person. It would need to be on a large canvas. The theme is the human body. • Which ar=sts have you researched so far? What kind of work do the ar=sts make? I have researched Marcus Harvey, Anne=e Messager, Nick Cave and Maurizio Anzer. These arHsts have a collage style, where they have made one big image • How have the ar=sts inspired you? What ideas has their work given you? These arHsts have inspired me to make a large collage. They have given me the idea to do it on a large scale. • What materials and techniques do you plan to us? I plan to use photos of an iconic person, and sHck them to a large canvas, in order to make a larger picture of that person. • What are you going to do differently in this project? I am going to be using a completely different technique to all my other projects. I will also need to put in more Hme, because it will be a long process.

ArHsts to look at Peter blake David bailey People in iconic poses
Peter Blake This piece by peter blake relates to the piece I intend to do since it has been done in the style of a collage. Many colours have been used since the images used are pop art. The images have been made into li=le squares to make a big square of the overall picture.
David bailey I like the use of shade in this piece by david bailey. LighHng features very heavily in this piece. It relates quite well to the piece I intend to do as it is based on people, especially famous influenHal people. The image is in black and white, which helps make his features stand out more. The shape is of a face of a person.
Rotella Subject maGer-‐ The subject ma=er is popular culture. Composi=on-‐It has been made using a poster that has
been torn, and appears to have been stuck on top of another poster. Line,Shape,Colour,Texture-‐This piece has a sharp edge to it, contrasted with torn bits which has a fluffy feel to it, because it appears to have layers. Its shape involves people appearing on a movie poster, covered in tears. The tears are many different shapes, and do not appear to follow any pa=ern. The piece has been given a blue Hnt, except for the woman in the foreground. It gives it a calm feeling. Its texture is smooth in parts and very rough in others because of the tears. This gives it an old feeling.
EvaluaHon of pracHcal work What 2D/3D mark making effects have you used? Why? I have used bits of magazines of certain colours and stuck them down to create an image of jimi hendrix. Some of the pieces have wriHng from the magazine. This is to give it some texture. The piece is 2D.
What is the subject maGer?
The subject ma=er is iconic people, and human form.
What ideas have you explored in your work?
Ideas that I have explored involve popular culture and iconic people. The idea of making the image out of fragments, to show lots of different things making up personality.
Colour,Shape,Texture I have used a lot of reds to make this image because they stand out well, and gives it a nice tone. The whole thing makes the shape of a person, in parHcular Jimi Hendrix. However it is made of fragments of magazines which a different random shapes. Ths gives it a pixelated look. The bits of wriHng that are on the magazine pieces help give it some texture.
What am I going to do next?
I’m going to cover the whole page with the fragments to create the full image.
