Essay Music is important to me because it has allowed me to tell my story. I sing and dance to make a statement to let people know who I am and who I stand for and that is Jesus Christ. My passion for music comes from within I have always felt like it was something that was gifted to do even though I hid my talents from people for a long time. I continuously felt a tugging in my heart to use my gifts through Music. I couldn’t escape it was something that I was enthusiastic about doing. Music allows me to be myself and it shows the world who I am. Before I embraced Music I was a shy girl and did not have much confidence. I found out that anytime I danced to gospel music or sung songs God was transforming me. It was m gift of singing and dancing to music that allowed me to come out of my shell and bless others through the gifts He has given to me. I am extremely grateful that through Music God has revealed Himself to me and others. As a COGIC girl I have a gift from God and I know that I am a gift from God. Without Music I would not be able to express and share the gift that God has given to me. I now know who I am and I have put on the Lord Jesus, and I ROCK as a COGIC girl.

Shetara Parker

I should be a COGIC Girls Rock in MUSIC because music is one of the most important things to me. Music is away in which a person can express themselves through various artistic forms. Psalms 149:3 says let them praise His name in dance, let them sing praises unto Him with timbrel and harp. Many young ladies my age are ashamed to praise God and through music and dance but when I am dancing or singing for the Lord I know that God is using me for His glory. When I dance and or sing I am only thinking about Him and wanting Him to pleased with my ministry through music.
