Mysterious feminine figures in profile outlined in rich colors explains Gina Intveen is “that world that evokes a place populated with beings and realities of uninhibited nakedness. A land of magnificence and abundance, America is the portal to new cosmogonies and visions, of rituals and syncretism. Tues., 5:30pm (English) TALK ARCAS (The Wildlife Rescue & Conservation Assoc.) is the leading advocate for the rights of wild animals in Guatemala. In the Department of Petén it manages one of the largest and most success wildlife rescue centers in the world, receiving 300-600 animals of 40+ species per year, the majority confiscated from wildlife traffickers. ARCAS is also working within environmental education, protected area management, marine turtle conservation, sustainable community development, ecotourism and reforestation. ARCAS’s three main project sites are located in Guatemala City, the remote northern department of Petén and the Hawaii area of the southern Pacific Coast.
