Bilbao es la puerta de entrada al “universo vasco”, la gran ciudad en la que se funde la cultura tradicional de Euskadi y las vanguardias artísticas globales en un ambiente cosmopolita, abierto e integrador. La cultura milenaria de esta tierra está en continua evolución y tiene su gran cita con residentes y turistas en Basque Fest, durante los días de Semana Santa. Las calles de Bilbao se llenan de actividades de ocio, música, exposiciones, deporte tradicional, propuestas gastronómicas durante estas fechas en las que los días se prolongan en horas de sol y la naturaleza quiere retomar el pulso vital que el invierno le robó.
Bilbao is the entranceway to the "Basque universe", the great city in which Basque traditional culture and global artistic trends merge in a cosmopolitan, open and inclusive atmosphere. The millennial culture of this land is in continuous evolution and its big meeting with residents and tourists will take place at the Basque Fest, during the days of Holy Week. The streets of Bilbao will be full of leisure activities, music, exhibitions, traditional sports and gastronomic proposals during these days in which the hours of sunlight are lengthened and nature seeks to take back the vital pulse that the winter stole from it.

The mountains that surround Biscay's capital return to their spring colours, the sea offers us a truce from its surges and gales, and walking along the almost empty beaches can be an experience that is difficult to find in other locations or on other dates. And anyway, who said that it rains a lot in Bilbao?
