RESEDA GETS MULCHED

WELCOME NEW BUSINESSES

SPEND $25 ON 25TH

7 ½ tons (15,000 lbs.) of organic mulch was delivered to the parking lot behind Councilman Dennis P. Zine’s Office for a first come – first serve giveaway to the community on Saturday September 10. Arranged by RNC board member and employee of the L.A. Urban Forestry Division, Brandon Balderas hand delivered the massive pile and oversaw the event as the pile dwindled rapidly.

Each Month we welcome businesses that have opened their doors recently. Despite the current economic conditions they have the confidence to open their business in Reseda. We encourage you to check them out and spend a few dollars if you have a need for their goods and/or services.

After 3 months of spend $25 on the 25th of the Month in Reseda, more and more folks are participating, the community is activated.

Beginning at 7:00 AM, folks from all across the area showed up with trucks, cars, bags and containers of all shapes and sizes to haul it away, depleting the entire supply well before Noon. By popular demand, an encore event will be held in the same location, again honoring the first come – first serve credo, on Saturday October 22. The community is asking for it, and the Reseda Neighborhood Council intends to deliver!
