Top Story Indian to produce 6 mn green vehicles by 2020 Indian government plans to invest INR 230 bn to increase the production of electric and hybrid vehicles in the next eight years. The country aims to produce 6 mn green vehicles by 2020, including 4 to 5 mn two‐wheelers, such as bicycles, scooters and motorcycles. New Delhi plans to contribute INR 130‐140 bn of the total investment plan, with companies providing the rest.
