Backgrounds The tangle of threads in The Carpet reminds of the thick vegetation of a jungle. Johnny and Kapa get by in a sort of indigenous town, with its classic hierarchy, its Chief and its Wizard, their typical thatched huts, its totem‌. There are plenty of tribal designs and tiny human objects like a bubble gum, a cigar but or a pin, among other things that in the daily life of our characters acquire colossal proportions and very diverse uses, like a temple or a guard post. Every Sunday, beginning at the first hour of the morning, the whole town is evacuated because a gigantic vacuum cleaner with a long articulated neck and tremendous jaws is taking away anything that crosses its path.
