ANNUAL REPORT 2022

FUELING THE FUTURE

SHARE IN SUCCESS

A note from the executive director:

In 2022 we have worked hard to elevate the recognition and relevance of Renewable Fuels Nebraska. A few of my favorite highlights to look back on this year include the teamwork to achieve passage of LB596, welcoming two new producer members to the board, hosting fun networking events, and providing opportunities for effective connections among all membership.

We have been fortunate in Nebraska, for the last eight years, to have a governor who is a strong supporter of the ethanol industry as well as all of agriculture. His advocacy for implementing new, value added opportunities, such as CCS, has created a foundation of certainty for the future for RFN members. Legislatively in 2022, RFN engaged not only in working to get favorable legislation passed, but also effectively informed senators about issues with unfavorable bills that were introduced. All in all, it was a successful session, and it was rewarding to be a part of the LB1261 bill signing ceremony

As we continue to navigate the future set forth by federal regulations, mandates, and legislation surrounding energy and climate, RFN is here to do all we can to make sure whatever that future looks like, it is a bright one for our membership and stakeholders. An association will always enjoy greater success with active, engaged members and I thank you all for being willing to step up when and where needed.

It is an honor to serve as the executive director of Renewable Fuels Nebraska and I look forward to contributing to more positive outcomes for Nebraska’s renewable fuels industry in 2023.
