THESIS RESUME
This project is my master’s thesis, talking about authenticity.
(French text)
Usually, a drill is used thirty minutes in a lifetime ... And everyone has one. A lot of people attach too much importance looking and buying fake ones in order to identify themselves with a class richer than theirs. Others give names to their personal belongings and humanize them. These observations are part of the many inconsistencies that men have with new everyday objects, hesitating between consumerism and the search for authenticity.
This thesis does not claim to solve the riddle that is authenticity, whose meaning has to be defined first. It questions the relationship between authentic and artificial things, and showcases progress artifacts maintaining the confusion between true and false, the artwork and its replica, the original and the simulacrum. It also focuses on the study of new sociological behaviorq about civilization development and recent technical issues caused by it.
