FLOAT THERAPY

VIVE Float Studio Chronic pain. Stress. Insomnia. Eczema. Inflammation. We all have our ailments, and with more information floating around than one could possibly keep up with, it’s difficult to know exactly what works – and what doesn’t. Enter VIVE, the self-described “rest and recovery wellness center” that’s taking the neighborhood by storm. But don’t assume that it’s simply another spa. Quite the contrary. The only of its kind in the region, if not the country, VIVE focuses on much more than relaxation, but rather mental and physical recovery. As founder Andi Sigler explains, it’s all about a calm, curative experience. “From the moment you step into the studio, you’ll feel at peace. It’s an incredibly calm environment, and we believe that’s vital for your time of restoration.” Indeed, everything about the spacious subterranean studio is calming. A spacious relaxation lounge – The Quiet Center – serves as a serene space where plush textiles, cozy oversized seating and a fireplace offer the ideal backdrop to indulge in a cup of tea, and simply be. From there, VIVE offers a spectrum of experiences, all aimed at creating long-term, lasting results. With state-of-the-art equipment that’s rarely available to consumers, and certainly not all under one roof, VIVE stands out from the pack. “We’re the first national rest and recovery wellness center with all of these services in one location,” Sigler reveals. The services she references include an Infrared Sauna, Float Therapy, Cryotherapy, VibroAcoustic Sound Therapy, and Halotherapy. According to Sigler, each of these modalities offers its own unique, highly effective benefits for both the body and mind.

The service for which VIVE is best known, float therapy, is a gravity-free experience that allows the body to enter a state of sensory deprivation, which, in turn, promotes healing. Yet, while most float therapy services are performed in a small pod or tank,VIVE sets the industry bar with its large, unique Wave Float Rooms. A glass entry door, heated “buffer zone,” contour ceiling, and roomy experience make a huge difference in the experience. With no real skill required, it’s a physically passive form of total wellness that simultaneously restores the body and revives the mind. “Floating is about everything you won’t be doing,” Sigler laughs. “You won’t be fighting gravity. The 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt in the water takes care of that while you lie effortlessly on your back. Every muscle is allowed to gradually relieve its functional tensions.   Your entire body, including internal organs, muscles and bones will be completely rested and at ease.”

INFRARED SAUNA The benefits of an infrared sauna session are plentiful – detoxification, weight loss, anti-aging, pain relief – and naturally, VIVE’s version takes it up a notch…or three. “VIVE offers a 3-in-1 sauna that blends the optimal wavelengths—near, mid, and far—to achieve specific results. Seven preset wellness programs are ready to use at the touch of a button,” Sigler describes. “In addition to the full-spectrum benefits of our sauna, we also offer the full-benefits of Chromotherapy  (color) and  Acoustic Resonance Therapy  (A.R.T. or Sound Waves).”
