We worked hard all summer to bring you over $4 million in improvements for the 2010-2011 season... • The new Morning Star High Speed Quad is almost 30% longer and twice as fast! • We extended the length of Morning Star and Cross Cut slopes, added snowmaking and lights. • New Gobbler’s Glade off of Woodpecker. • “Bear Cub” is a new 2500 foot beginner slope that meanders through the woods from the top of the SnowPine Chair. • We added six new entry level rails in the Progression Park. • We increased the snowmaking water supply on Champagne and Independence. • The new summertime pool complex is FUN-FUN-FUN! Adult Holiday Valley’s 58 slopes, including 37 night skiing trails are spread over 1400 acres. There’s gentle cruising terrain perfect for beginners and families, challenging steeps and glades, and 4 terrain parks. Our 13 lifts, featuring 3 high speed quads get you up our 750 foot vertical in a hurry. Even though we average over 15 feet of snow per season, thanks to our friendly Lake Effect Storms, we’re continually upgrading our snowmaking and grooming with a more efficient system and higher quality snow. Terrain Parks 42/78 Park On Foxfire you will find multiple rail and jump lines offering the best of the best in terrain park features. Riders will experience creative and progressive setups switched up on a weekly basis. NEW this season is the re-vamped halfpipe area, which features laterally aligned banks, ledge slides and side hits. The features in 42/78 now provide a new way for riders to “Just Send It.”
Snoozer Snoozer offers intermediate features for riders to build their skills and confidence, or to refine their current bag of tricks. Rail Park The Rail Park at the base of Mardi Gras is where riders will find a mix of organic and industrial features. Riders will experience the best of both worlds with natural timber and snow features complimented by steel tanks, rails and beams. Moonshadow A park playground filled with banks and rollers from top to bottom.

Tamarack Club The slopeside Tamarack Club offers first class, full service deluxe hotel rooms and 1,2 and 3 bedroom condominium suites. Amenities include ski-in, ski-out convenience, a heated indoor/outdoor year ‘round pool, outdoor hot tubs, sauna, fitness center, WiFi, underground parking, John Harvard’s Brew House and Falling Waters Spa. Tamarack Club Ownership Ownership opportunities are available at the Tamarack Club, Holiday Valley’s newest slopeside condominium/hotel. Amenities include underground parking, ski and golf club storage, a heated indoor/outdoor year ‘round pool, two outdoor hot tubs, Falling Waters Spa, fitness center, conference rooms and John Harvard’s Brew House. Besides the ideal location and four star amenities, purchasers may select one-fifth share fractional ownership; they will be able to use their unit once every five weeks. Where to Eat at Holiday Valley The lively John Harvard’s Brew House at Tamarack is open for lunch and dinner, serving hearty sandwiches and entrees, stone hearth pizzas and more than 20 beers and craft brews on tap. McCarty Café in the Clubhouse serves Starbuck’s coffee, hot beverages, deli sandwiches and mouthwatering pastries for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sandwiches, salads, soups and grilled foods are served at the cafeterias in each of our three base lodges. The Loft upstairs in the Tannenbaum Lodge serves espresso drinks and bottled beers. Brown baggers are welcome throughout the Tannenbaum Lodge, ground floor of Yodeler and top floor of the Clubhouse.
SnowSports School Never skied before? A perpetual intermediate? A wanna-be racer? There’s always room for improvement and the better you ski or ride, the more fun you’ll have. Our PSIA and AASI certified school, along with our enthusiastic and experienced instructors offer learning packages, group or private lessons to teach the fundamentals or build upon your skiing and riding skills. Learn-to-Ski or Snowboard Packages include equipment (skis or snowboard, boots and poles), a first timer’s lesson and a lift ticket for the three lifts serving our extensive School Haus beginner’s area. Register at the Creekside Lodge, where our specially trained staff will take the time to make sure your equipment fits properly and answer all the questions you may have. Lesson times 10:30 and 1:30, $70. Private $114.
Customize your lesson to your specific needs with one-on-one coaching with our finest instructors. Register at the Snowsports School Desk in the Clubhouse Chalet. Offered daily from 9am to 3pm, additional hours may be available. $105 for 1½ hours.
Learn to Ski or Snowboard Better Packages include an all area ticket $95. Learn to Ski or Snowboard Private lesson packages also available. Register at Clubhouse Chalet Snowsports Desk. Private $170.
Group Lessons Age 12 + up Register at the Snowsports School Desk in the Clubhouse Chalet for 1½ hour lessons offered daily at 10:30am and 1:30pm, $30. Lessons offered nightly starting at 5:30, 6:30, 7:30pm, $22.
Chairlift Safety for Kids’ Programs Mountain Adventure programs include instruction and use of chairlifts and/or tows. Riding a lift may occur without an instructor. Children may be required to ride the chairlift with other children in the class, Holiday Valley employees or other adults in the lift line, while assistance is given by chairlift attendants. Riding a chairlift can be a hazardous activity for your child. By allowing your child to enroll, you acknowledge the inherent risks of skiing and accept any and all injury to your child.
Children’s Programs Ages 3–12 Children’s Lessons Ages 3-12 Kids rule at Mountain Adventures, headquartered in the Creekside Lodge just outside the Clubhouse Chalet. From first-time skiers or riders to kids who can rip the entire mountain, our specially trained and patient coaches make learning fun.

SKI & RIDE WITH COMMON SENSE Skiing and riding are exciting, challenging participant sports that often present dangers and inherent risks, including but not limited to trees, uneven terrain, changing conditions, bare and/ or icy spots, natural and man made objects, snowmaking equipment that may or may not be operating, and other skiers, snowboarders or people using the slopes. Some slopes and gladed areas are not groomed or equipped with snowmaking. While skiing, USE CAUTION and abide by the Responsibility Code and NYS Article 18, posted around Holiday Valley. If you can not accept these inherent risks of skiing and riding, we ask that you not ski or ride at Holiday Valley. Remember, safe skiing and riding is everyone’s responsibility; it’s the law.
Terrain Park & Pipe Improvements
LIFT SAFETY Be advised that you cannot board a lift unless you have sufficient physical dexterity, ability and knowledge to negotiate or to use such lift safely, or until you have asked for and received information sufficient to enable you to load, ride and unload the lift safely. You may not use a lift or any ski trail when under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

Your speed, approach and take off will directly affect your maneuver and landing.
LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP Scope around the jumps first, not over them. EASY STYLE IT Start small and work your way up. RESPECT GETS RESPECT From the lift line through the park. Inverted aerials are prohibited. Be advised that all poles and/or flags, fencing, signage, and padding on equipment or objects or other forms of marking devices are used by the ski area to inform you of the presence or location of a potential obstacle or hazard. These markers are no guarantee of your safety and will not protect you from injury. It is part of your responsibility under Your Responsibility Code to avoid all obstacles or hazards, including those that are so marked.
