EDUCATIONAL SESSION SUBMISSIONS.... WHATS GOOD/ WHATS NOT? If you're coming to the Region III Conference, you should definitely consider presenting. Its a great way to justify your travel to your institution while beefing up your resume. "Hey boss, I have to go, I am presenting at this conference. I am kind of a big deal!" If you weren't planning on coming...it's probably time to reconsider. (Hello, its ATL, A-town, Hotlanta, the A!!) Maybe you haven't submitted because you worry- who cares what I have to say? Well, WE DO! And I'm sure a lot of other people do too. The best way to learn is from each other. If you aren't sure where to start we are pretty much begging you to put in a proposal for the following topics - Event Management, Social Justice, Facility Management, Planning, Fiscal Management, & Human Resources. Educational Sessions submission deadline is October 14. Educational Sessions Proposals can be submitted here.
AWARDS & SCHOLARSHIPS REGIONAL AWARDS
Okay so maybe you're a shy little wallflower who doesn't like to bask in the spotlight of all your own glory... but what is stopping you from letting someone else shine? Submit a nomination for that colleague or boss who always has your back! This is a way to thank them and give them something to collect dust on their office bookshelf. No seriously, these awards are really nice and I still cherish the one I received back in 2013. You can nominate folks for everything from Inclusivity Program Awards, to New Professional, Volunteer and event Student Leader. Just a few clicks on the keyboard could makes someone's day. FREE MONEY?!
Region III is currently offering scholarships to support student and professional members in accessing this year’s regional conference experience at Emory University in Atlanta. This scholarship will cover conference registration costs but you are own your own all travel and lodging costs will be at the expense of the scholarship winner/institution. What? We couldn't do it all, but every little bit helps. Right? The deadline to apply for scholarships is October 15, 2022. More information is available on Region III's Scholarships Page.

This can range from interviews, product reviews, human interest pieces, and even lists. Think about what your audience would be interested in and get writing!
