Welcome to College Preview Weekend

We’re delighted you’re here and excited to show you why Regent is America’s Premier Christian University. We hope you enjoy this unique glimpse of what your life will be like as a Regent Royal.

Here’s what you need to know:

• Parents are welcome at all of the events on Thursday and Friday except the Live Lectures and Ask a Regent Student due to seating capacity.

• Students are provided with meal tickets. Guests may purchase meals. See page 13 for additional meal information.

• A liability waiver is required for Student Activities Field Day and overnight stays in Regent housing. Please fill out the liability waiver by scanning the QR code or visiting regent.edu/cpwwaiver.

Submit your $150 enrollment deposit before or during College Preview Weekend to unlock your $2,000 Early Deposit Scholarship!

Campus Tour | Communication Building Plaza 60-minute tour departing approximately every 20 minutes. Housing Open House | Regent Commons, Constitution Hall A self-paced come-and-go tour of housing.

10:30 am-3:30 pm Admissions Workshop Communication Building, Balcony

Open throughout the day—pop in to get your admissions questions answered. Submit your application or deposit, and receive your FREE Regent T-shirt.

Join this session and see all of the ins and outs of financial aid and discover what scholarships you can receive.

All students are invited to hear from current Royals on student engagement and life at Regent. There will be a Q&A, so come prepared with questions to get a glimpse into life as a Royal!

2:00-3:00 pm Peace of Mind Panel Shaw Chapel

All parents are invited to hear from experienced Regent parents, alumni, and current students on how to help your students transition from home to college. There will be a Q&A, so come with questions!

3:15-4:15 am Honors College Presentation With Q&A Library Auditorium

Hear from our dean and staff about what makes Regent University’s Honors College one of the best in the country, followed by a Q&A.

Take some time to learn how to smoothly transition from life as a homeschooler to life as a college student.

Come hang out with the Cinema-Television department and enjoy a showcase of awesome short films made by Regent University students!

Set your course toward becoming a commissioned officer in the Army. Discover a world of opportunities for scholarships and financial incentives. Hone your leadership skills through specialized training and seamlessly pursue a degree through Regent University.

11:15-11:45 am Navy ROTC Information Session

Explore paths to becoming an officer in the Navy or Marine Corps. Learn about NROTC scholarships, including a 50-percent Regent scholarship for NROTC students. Earn your Regent undergraduate degree and map out a journey towards a successful and rewarding future in service.

12:00-12:30 pm Naval Preparatory Program (NPP) Session

Library Auditorium

For students with exceptional potential, but facing testing or financial challenges, Regent’s NPP may open the door to a Naval Officer commission. The program’s mission is to strengthen moral, mental and physical foundations. Scholarship support covers tuition, board and fees for the preparatory year. Successful completion leads to a four-Year NROTC Scholarship from the U.S. Navy.

Students staying in the Commons will check-out of housing and leave belongings in a supervised location to pick-up at the conclusion of the event. Students must return access badge. Lost access badges or sleeping mats will result in a $30 fee.

Divinity Building, Honors Suite

Enjoy donuts with the Dean, your peers, and Honors College faculty and students! Must have an active Honors Application on file to attend.

Following breakfast, color teams assigned at check-in will meet and participate in various student engagement activities.

Note: Those who have been invited to compete in the Honors Bound Scholarship Competition will do so following breakfast.

Time to recharge and refill from the morning over pizza! Student color teams will join together in designated team classrooms. A perfect time to mingle and share your favorite memories from the weekend!

1:00-2:00 pm Before it All Begins: Closing Session

Moot Court Room

This is an interactive workshop to help students connect with others and learn more about themselves as they prepare for college. The workshop provides a FREE Focus2 assessment, as well as a complimentary journal!

Social media contest winner will be announced at this event.

HONORS COLLEGE

Students being considered for the Honors College are eligible to participate in the Honors Bound Scholarship Competition by invitation only.

Your journey to greatness, for His glory, begins here! If you are interested in applying for the Honors College or would like to learn more, visit regent.edu/honors.

$10,000 Freedom Scholarship Competition

All new, on-campus, undergraduate students are invited to compete for the $10,000 Freedom Scholarship. Essays will be reviewed by a committee and winners will be notified via email.

Interested students should report to the Scholarship Lab to complete their 500-word timed essay.
