Regents Parent Council

I hope you and your family are enjoying the summer. I am always grateful for the “lazy” days of summer and the much needed interruption it brings to our normally scheduled days. However, it is about this time that I also begin looking forward to all of the possibilities that the start of a new school year can bring. It is with that excitement, that I am looking forward to serving as the RPC Chair this year. I am grateful for this opportunity and beyond blessed to be able to serve alongside so many faithful families!

RPC is the community of Regents parents working together to promote the mission of Regents School of Austin, while supporting the various needs of the staff, students and families. When you registered your child to attend Regents, you automatically became a member of the Regents Parent Council We welcome each of you to get involved this year and look for opportunities to join in all of the exciting events on campus. Whether you volunteer to help at a Regents event, drive for a field trip, volunteer with your child’s class in the library or in the garden, or bring goodies to bless the faculty and staff, you are participating in the work of the Regents Parent Council. It is beautiful to see God’s hand at work daily within our school.

Preparations are underway for the 2023-2024 school year, and it is going to be an amazing year! I am thankful for the dedicated administration, board members, teachers, and parents who continue to pour love and dedication into Regents School of Austin.

Finally, I’d like to take a moment to share the scripture that I have chosen to guide me throughout this year. It is Romans 12:3-6.

“For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, … For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them:...”

I love this scripture because it reminds me that while we have each been gifted with different strengths and are capable of accomplishing tasks on our own, we are so much stronger when we pool our talents and work together! Having individuals use their diverse talents to support all of our activities unifies our community and I am already grateful for all that will be done in the coming months. I am looking forward to serving with each of you in the year ahead!
