SOR Checklist

☐ School Uniforms: Review Uniform Guidelines. Spirit Fridays begin Friday, August 25.

☐ School Supplies: Purchase supplies before the start of school. Click here for Supply List. Required textbooks will be placed in students’ lockers by Wednesday, August 16.

☐ Summer Reading: Complete assigned summer reading see Assignment details here.

☐ Full Class Schedules: On August 11, by 5:00 p.m., students and parents can look in FACTS for class schedules and locker information. Log in to your FACTS account; under Student, choose Schedules to see and print a copy of your schedule. You’ll see your locker number in the upper right corner. Print two copies of your schedule. Tape one schedule to the inside of your planner and the other copy to the inside of your locker.

☐ Parent-Teacher Greetings: We are offering parents an opportunity to meet with their student’s teachers before school starts. It isn’t a time for a parent-teacher conference, but rather a hello, and not mandatory. Dates and times are Wednesday, August 16, between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Please note, our teachers will be in meetings from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and unable to meet with parents then.

☐ Student Locker Setups: Students may come to SOR on Wednesday, August 16, between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. to set up their lockers and retrieve their textbooks.

☐ New Parent and Student Orientation: New parents and students to Regents are invited to attend an orientation on Wednesday, August 16 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Room 333 of the Rhetoric Building.

☐ SOR Attendance Communication: Parents, add sorattendance@regentsaustin.org to your email address book. This is the email address to use for all Rhetoric attendance communication. (absences, tardies, leaving school for appointments, etc.)

☐ Student Parking: During the first days of school, seniors need to park on the berm and underclassmen need to park across the street from the school. All students who drive to school are required to affix a Regents parking permit to the left rear bumper or window of their vehicle and must park in student designated spaces only. Senior & underclassmen parking permits using the vehicle information parents provided in FACTS this summer may be retrieved at Mrs. Austin’s desk beginning Wednesday, August 16.

• If student vehicle information was not previously provided through FACTS, please update this information through the FACTS Family Portal: In the left-hand column, click “School” then “Web Forms” and select “SOR - Specific Forms.” Next to the student’s name, click on “SOR Transportation” and complete the form. Once updated, be sure to click on “SAVE” at the bottom of the form.
