First Day of School — School of Logic begins at 8:15 a.m.

Attire: Daily (non-chapel) Uniform

SOL Checklist

☐ School Uniforms: For Logic-specific Uniform Standards click here. All 7th grade boys and new 8th grade boys will be given a Chapel tie at Matriculation on Monday, August 28. In general, students will wear Chapel uniforms on Mondays, Daily uniforms on Tuesday through Thursdays, and Spirit Day uniforms on Fridays.

☐ School Supplies: Purchase supplies before the start of school. Academic supply lists may be found here. Regents provides a School of Logic planner for each 7th and 8th grader. Students are not required to have supplies for elective classes the first week of school.

☐ Summer Reading: Students purchase a physical copy of summer reading books and complete assigned summer reading and questions before school begins. Mrs. Gold’s 7th grade summer reading letter and questions may be found here. Mrs. Roberson’s 8th grade summer reading guide and questions may be found here. Students bring their summer reading books to school for the first few weeks.

☐ Class Schedules: Students print copies of your schedule to tape into your planner and inside your locker. Full SOL class schedules will be available in FACTS on Friday, August 11.

☐ Textbooks and Planners: Students pick up textbooks and planners provided by Regents from your homeroom classroom during Locker Set Up on Wednesday, August 16. Please refer to the SOL Events listed on the following page for specific times.

☐ Parent-Teacher Greetings: Parents are invited to stop by classrooms for a quick hello with teachers during your child’s locker set up time on Wednesday, August 16. Please refer to the SOL Events listed on the following page for specific times.

☐ SOL Attendance Communication: Parents, please add solattendance@regentsaustin.org to your email address book. Use this for Logic attendance communication for absences, tardies, leaving school for appointments, etc. Students who leave during the school day must sign out at the Logic admin desk and meet their parent or guardian in the circle drive. Students will not be released without prior communication from a parent or guardian. Students who arrive late to school or who return to school after an appointment are required to sign in at the Logic admin desk.

☐ SOL Communications Webpage: Log in and view the SOL Communications page on the Regents website for Logic-specific information.

☐ Arrival: The doors to Logic Hall will unlock at 8 a.m. Students that arrive early may wait outside or in the cafe.

☐ Dropping Off Items: Parents, if you must deliver items to your child during the school day, stop by the Grammar front desk to sign in and receive a nametag before bringing the items to the Logic admin desk.
