hen you’re ready to choose a real estate agent, the first goal is to find someone you can trust and feel comfortable with. You also want to work with someone who is easy to communicate with and has proven local knowledge of the market. When you are searching for the right realtor, there are no dumb questions. Ask about anything and everything you can think of. This will help you learn about the agent and identify potential red flags. You want your goals to be their No. 1 priority.

Ensure you hire an agent who is willing and able to answer any and all questions you might have about the home purchasing process.

Consider compatibility and personality When you are buying a home, you will be spending a lot of time looking at homes in the company of your realtor. Ensuring your personalities mesh is important. Take your time choosing someone who is relatable and is a good fit for your personality. Choose for you, not for the house. If you are a “move forward and get things done” kind of person, do you want a super laid-back realtor or vice versa?
