You Are Invited! Join us for the Adventure of a Lifetime! We are very excited to announce our upcoming Israel Tour, this October 21-31, 2018. The theme for this year’s tour is The Transfiguration. When I went to Israel in October/November 2017, I had the most incredible experience during the entire journey. Rob and I scouted out the areas we loved the most with the intention of bringing groups on our next tour so that you could experience the same transformation we did. One of the highlights of our trip was on the Mount of Transfiguration, which is known to be on Mt. Tabor in Israel. When I put my feet on that mountain, I had the most incredible experience with the Lord. I got so lost in the spirit because God really showed up and met me there. He spoke of many wonderful things to me and it was an experience that I will never forget. Not only did I experience a transformation on that mountain, but I literally felt like I entered into the transfiguration of the Lord and I understood at that moment what the Bible was talking about. I had previously taught on the Mystery of Transfiguration right before I left for Israel and the Lord had already been giving me incredible revelation concerning the Transfiguration in my prayer time. It’s one thing to experience the Transfiguration in prayer and to teach on it’s deep Biblical meaning, but it is completely another realm of experience when you stand on that mountain. Transfiguration Tour, Page 2

Going to Israel made the Bible come alive! Every spot that we visited, the presence of God was so real and so tangible. I had very deep moments with the Lord that have stayed with me even after coming back home. We want you to experience God on a level that no other place on this earth can compare. The beautiful land of Israel is calling you home! Home to the heart land of our Lord Jesus Christ and many patriarchs of the Lord that we read about and glean from in the scriptures every day. Rob and I are opening an opportunity for you to travel with us to the Holy Land this year on a prophetic tour that is unique from all others. You will join with me and we will worship together at several locations while making prophetic decrees. We will take you to Mt. Tabor to experience for yourself, the amazing presence of the Lord at the same location I stepped foot on and worshipped the Lord in complete abandon. We will worship there together and make prophetic decrees from that very same spot. Rob and I will also personally baptize you in the Jordan River, the same location that Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. One place that I did not get a chance to go to was Mt. Hermon. This is the highest elevation in Israel. Our trip includes a cable ride to the top of Mt. Hermon as we will worship and make prophet decrees from the highest mountain top in the land of Israel. This will be a highlight of the trip for sure. Then were will journey together at many other locations such as the Garden Tomb and ride a boat on the Sea of Galilee with more worship and prophetic decrees as we sail on the same waters that Jesus walked on. You will enjoy time at the Dead Sea with the option to get in the waters and float on the water without effort. The beauty of this place is incredible!

TIPPING In Israel, it is customary to tip hotel personnel, guides and drivers. When traveling on our tour program, you should give $1.50 per day hotel staff tips to the guide at the beginning of the tour. A 15% tip is the average in lunch restaurants that are not part of the Israel tour package. While tipping is not mandatory for taxi drivers, some visitors choose to do so anyhow. Remember that a tip or gratuity is earned for services rendered in a courteous and professional manner.

SHOPPING In Israel, the market in Jaffa is a bargain-filled institution. All the old towns of Israel, such as Akko and Nazareth, have bazaars, but the ultimate is to be found in the Old City of Jerusalem. Art, fashion, crafts, pottery, olive-wood carvings, hand-blow glass, embroidery and leather goods – these are some of the enormous array of things to buy in Israel. Religious items such as Crucifixes, rosaries, holy cards, statues, etc. will be available in all the places you Unless you are using digital cameras, remember to take plenty of film for your camera from the USA – the cost of film overseas is higher. PHOTOCOPY ALL IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS Please pay close attention to safety and security matters regarding yourself and your possessions while abroad. Please keep your passport, airline tickets and any other valuables in a safe place as it is very difficult, costly and timeconsuming to get a new passport issued in a foreign country. Please also keep photocopies of your passport, air ticket, credit cards, traveller’s check numbers and any other important personal documentation in a separate part of your luggage.

CHILDREN Young travelers fit into two discount categories, Infant (0-2), and Child (2-12 sleeping in parents’ rooms). Contact us for details.

SIGHT-SEEING Sight-see with your hands free! No one wants to walk around the city holding a soaking wet umbrella and ten different shopping bags. A rain hat and poncho (or rain coat) are a lot easier to deal with than an umbrella. Keep your purchases in your day pack. You’ll be less tempted to spend and spend as the pack gets heavier and heavier.

LEARN SOME OF THE LANGUAGE Learn some local language and don’t be afraid to use it – simple greetings will help break the ice.

BE CONSIDERATE OF ISRAEL’S CUSTOMS, TRADITIONS, RELIGION AND CULTURE Remember to be respectful of local people, their culture, local economies and the environment. It’s important to remember that what may be acceptable behavior, dress and language in your own country, may not be appropriate in another. Please keep this in mind while traveling.

BRING YOUR BIBLE Bring along the Bible. It could well be the best guidebook for Israel.

SECURITY During the last 24 years of serving Christian pilgrims, Genesis Tours has never had to cancel a Tour due to security concerns. You will be safe 24/7 under the care and guidance of qualified and experienced Israeli professionals. PASSPORT INFORMATION

PASSPORT Most foreign countries require a valid passport to enter and leave. Some countries may allow you to enter with only a birth certificate, or with a birth certificate and a driver’s license, but all persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling by air, must present a valid passport to reenter the United States. If you are traveling by land or sea, you must provide evidence of both your U.S. citizenship and your identity when you reenter the United States. For many land or sea trips this means you can travel using the new U.S. passport card instead of the normal passport book. If you do not have a passport, you must apply for one. When you apply, you must present an original document as evidence of U.S. citizenship (which will be returned to you after your application is processed), photo identification, and a photocopy of that identification. Please note passports can take as long as eight weeks for processing. Visit http://travel.state.gov/for more information.

VISAS Visas are not required for United States citizens traveling to Israel. All nonUS citizens must contact their local embassies regarding visa requirements for Israel.

TIME AND TEMPERATURE INFORMATION TIME The Middle East is 7 hours ahead of US Eastern Standard Time – when it is 6pm (evening) in Tel Aviv, it is 11am (morning, same day) in New York. Temperatures in Israel could be between 50-80 F during the spring and fall, and 70-90 F during the summer with cooler nights in the mountains and a hot day by the Dead Sea (earth’s lowest point). Possible rain showers. TEMPERATURE Temperatures in Israel could be between 50-80 F during the spring and fall, and 70-90 F during the summer with cooler nights in the mountains and a hot day by the Dead Sea (earth’s lowest point). Possible rain showers. TRAVEL INFORMATION PRE-FLIGHT Leave your Israel travel information with a family member or friend, include a copy of your passport, your flight itinerary, travel itinerary, hotel names and phone numbers. Most airlines restrict passengers to one piece of carry-on luggage (in addition to your purse, laptop, camera case). Sizes and weight of carryon luggage are determined by airline, so be sure to check with airline on dimension requirements before you leave.

Transfiguration Tour, Page 20

Reeni & Rob Mederos warriorsinternational.com

Keep important items and documents with you at all times. Medicines should be carried in their original packaging (if you have a copy of the prescription, bring it with you). Do not keep travelers checks, money, valuables or travel documents in your luggage. Make sure your luggage is clearly tagged on the inside as well as the outside. Check-in time for international flights is normally two hours prior to departure. When checking in at the airport, a US passport (valid for six months after your return date) is needed as proof of identification to enter Israel. No visa is necessary. Non-U.S. citizens are responsible to fulfill appropriate entry requirements of the destination country. Contact your local consulate for information. Do not leave your luggage unattended for any length of time (no matter how short) or accept packages from strangers to carry on to the plane for them. Clearing customs in Israel may take a little longer than in most foreign countries. Keep in mind that upon arrival Israel you will need to go through customs and exchange money. Therefore, it is wise to give yourself plenty of time between landing and connecting to another form of transport. FLIGHT ATTIRE Dress comfortably for the flight. Wear comfortable clothes that allow freedom of movement as you will most likely be trying to sleep on the flight. Wear shoes that slip on and off easily. In order to avoid jet-lag, do not drink alcohol, caffeine or carbonated beverages. Choose natural fruit juices and water. Before you leave, choose a good book that will keep you occupied for most of the flight. Before your return flight, buy another – not only will it pass the flight time quickly but it will become a souvenir of your trip.

Transfiguration Tour, Page 21

Reeni & Rob Mederos warriorsinternational.com

Store your coat and anything you are not going to use in the overhead compartment. You’ll be much more comfortable with a minimum of things to shift around. Take off your shoes and make yourself as comfortable as possible right away. Bring along a moisturizer as the air in the cabin is extremely dry. Get up once in a while and stretch your arms and legs. TRAVEL INSURANCE Many seasoned travelers are not aware that their health insurance will not cover them outside of the country. For a minimal amount of money, travel insurance is a must. If you need to cancel your trip due to an unforeseen emergency or serious illness, most of your trip may be nonrefundable. In the event you become ill during your travels, finding and receiving medical care may be very frustrating. Travel insurance also covers lost baggage, and worldwide emergency assistance coverage. It is each passenger’s responsibility to purchase their own health and travel insurance. Israel has excellent health care facilities should anyone require assistance. We recommend Safe Travel, and you can find out more at Travel Insurance 888-885-7233. AIRPORT SECURITY Be especially alert at all airports both in the and abroad. It is easy to be distracted at busy airports where pickpockets abound. Remember you are not aware of the pickpockets or muggers – but they watch you. When placing hand luggage through Security be aware that the security staff could unwittingly be part of a scam. Wallets can be removed from purses as pickpockets see what’s available in your hand luggage, follow you to the Security and quickly remove an item when you are distracted. Lock-up handbags or purses are recommended. Also be alert for security staff/those posing as security staff possibly creating disturbances as a smokescreen to withdrawing articles from your hand luggage while you are distracted. As you go through the Security each time make sure one of you goes through first and the other follows only Transfiguration Tour, Page 22

Reeni & Rob Mederos warriorsinternational.com

when you are on the other side and ready to look out for your items on the Security conveyor belt. Never take your eyes off your hand luggage and keep your hand luggage in front of you at all times even after you leave the security area. All the professional pickpocket/mugger needs is a brief second to steal some of your treasured belongings and ruin your vacation. Never leave your personal belongings unattended at any time once you leave home and finally return. Be careful at all times, check at all stages and be alert – this is the only way you can outsmart the muggers. Be careful of bags/cameras slung over shoulders. Belt bags, money belts and passport pouches (tucked under your clothes to prevent someone cutting the straps) are the best. DEPARTING ISRAEL Israel’s airport security is probably the tightest in the world, so it is vital that you arrive in plenty of time to board your flight. Be aware that you will need at least two hours for pre-departure screening and even more time for check-in.
