Directors Note Arriving on Deer Island in Stockholm, Wisconsin, you will feel the peace and beauty of something grander than yourself. I am in awe of the beauty in the Mississippi River corridor, especially watching the transformation of winter’s stillness into the vibrancy and growth of spring. Just like the budding of spring, your children are growing every day and we are honored to be a part of supporting your child’s growth and vibrancy. At Camp Pepin we are uniquely set on the shore of Lake Pepin, surrounded by majestic bluffs and a spacious backwoods- an amazing space for your child to explore and learn. There are lots of great activities for your child to choose from- paddling, sailing, rock climbing, high ropes and zip line adventures, soccer, arts and crafts, target sports, hiking and fishing to name a few. To guide your child through activities are our well trained staff from all over the world that are here to support your child’s safety and growth. Safety is a big focus for our team, not only physical safety but emotional safety as well. We believe each child comes with their own unique personality and gifts, and we encourage kids to be brave and be themselves. Our small cabin groups and camp size allow kids to jump into a game of gaga or carpet ball, shoot some hoops on the sport court, or just hang out on a bench by the lake with their new friends. This atmosphere allows children to develop social competencies while still under the watchful eye of caring staff. Camp Pepin provides that flow of time that is so rare in today’s world, to unplug and get hands on with new skills in a small community. We look forward to meeting your child. -Martha Harris
