Professional Quality Skin Care Now Available at Redline Pharmacy… Introducing Rx Skin Therapy

Are your supplements tested for quality and purity?

Dry skin, fine lines, wrinkles, loss of elasticity, brown spots, sallow appearance...all signs of aging skin.

You want to know that the nutritional supplements you take are of the highest quality and contain what the label says.

Just because you’re getting older doesn’t mean your skin has to. As we age we lose elasticity, gain wrinkles and constantly try to slather on the skin lotions and serums to obtain a more youthful appearance. Trying to reverse skin care damage can be a challenge, but if the correct care and natural, effective products are applied it can be achieved. You Want Results We know you want results-oriented products. Whether you have issues with acne, hyper pigmentation or sign of aging all of these issues can be addressed with the Rx Skin Therapy family of products. Because these formulations are sciencebased and contain medicinal percentages of cosmeceutical ingredients and botanicals, these products are significantly different than most similar products on the market, which often include only trace amounts of these ingredients and botanicals. Unfortunately you may not be getting what you think. Despite efforts in recent years to regulate the nutritional supplement industry widespread quality issues still exist. In fact, the March 2011 issue of Consumer Reports Magazine contains an article titled The 12 Most Dangerous Supplements. What they have done is highlighted the problems which exist in quality control and nutritional supplements. In the article they say, “What consumers might not realize, though, is that supplement manufacturers routinely, and legally, sell their products without first having to demonstrate that they are safe and effective. As a result the supplement market is not as safe as it should be." They continue, “Because of inadequate quality control and inspection, supplements contaminated with heavy metals, pesticides, or prescription drugs have been sold to unsuspecting consumers. China, which has repeatedly been caught exporting contaminated products, is a major supplier of raw supplement ingredients. As of fall 2010, the FDA has yet to inspect a single factory there.” Because you want the best for your health, we only carry professional-grade nutritional supplements that are tested for purity and potency. Frequently Asked Questions about the REAL HCG Diet Join us on January 28th at Lochland Country Club to hear more about the REAL HCG Diet at our women’s health event. (see page 1 for registration information) What is HCG? HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) is a hormone naturally produced in large amounts during pregnancy. HCG is sometimes used in infertility treatment for both men and women. Dr. A.T.W. Simeons, a physician practicing in Italy, began using this hormone, in very small doses, as a weight loss supplement many years ago. He had over 20 years experience using the HCG protocol, and has shared his technique with the world. His manuscript, “Pounds and Inches: A New Approach to Obesity”, guides virtually all of the successful HCG diet programs currently utilized. This low calorie diet is only comfortable and advisable with HCG. Most participants don’t get hungry on the diet and have plenty of energy. How does HCG allow me to lose weight? The HCG allows your body to tap into its ‘abnormal’ fat deposits (shoulders, upper arms, hips, thighs and buttocks). In obese people, these deposits are not usually accessible to the body for fat consumption. This is the reason why no matter how much some people exercise and starve themselves, they cannot lose the fat on their posterior. HCG allows these abnormal fat deposits to be tapped, releasing the abnormal fat into the bloodstream and out of the body. This release of fat is also why people taking HCG are not hungry. The HCG actually releases 1500-4000 calories per day into the bloodstream. This is the ONLY reason why it is okay to be on a 500 calorie diet. Without the HCG releasing the abnormal fat and, therefore, thousands of calories into the bloodstream, you would be starving and facing nutritional deficiency. Will I get hungry on a 500 calorie diet? The HCG diet is 500 calories—a ‘very low calorie diet’—because while you are on

COMPOUNDING CORNER The Importance of Hormone Balance Hormones play an important role in your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. As we age our hormonal needs change. Our society and lifestyles only add to the normal hormonal changes we experience as we age. Stress due to work or family, the crazy schedules we keep, exposure to chemicals in our environment can all disrupt the delicate balance of hormones. Sex hormones, cortisol (the stress hormone) and thyroid are all interconnected and need to work together for us to feel our best. Any disruption in one of these systems can cause problems with the others. Eating a healthy diet rich in fruit and vegetables, reducing exposure to chemicals, getting adequate sleep and exercise and maintaining a healthy weight are all very important in achieving hormonal balance. When these are not enough, testing your hormone levels is the first step to determine if a hormone imbalance is causing your symptoms. With these results we can offer natural approaches to help you feel your best. For more information about hormone testing please call us at (402) 462-2929 or (888) 772-7108 or email us at info@redlinepharmacy.com

HCG, your body is releasing 1500-4000 calories from abnormal fat stores into your bloodstream each day. So with the 500 calories you are consuming plus the 15004000 calories being released into your system, you are actually getting the nutrition of (500 + 1500-4000) = 20004500 calories per day. The calories that HCG releases into your system are responsible for your weight loss and lack of hunger. Is your HCG the real thing? That’s why we call it the REAL HCG Diet. We only use the actual HCG hormone.

Why did you wait so long to offer the HCG Diet program? We have been aware of the HCG diet for over 2 years and have been watching the hype grow. We have several colleagues that started HCG Diet programs in their pharmacies over a year ago and have been studying their results. We wanted to be sure the weight loss was real and that it was effective for our patients. We are convinced that if the REAL HCG Diet program is followed faithfully it will result in significant weight loss for most people. How can I learn more? Join us on January 28th at our Get Your 3

Supplement Focus CarbCrave Complex OVERVIEW CarbCrave Complex is designed to help lessen appetite and curb excessive carbohydrate intake by supporting healthy brain chemistry and mood.* LESSENS CRAVINGS CarbCrave Complex supports healthy neurotransmitter metabolism, affecting the appetite and mood centers of the brain. 5HTP is a precursor for serotonin, the same neurotransmitter released by the consumption of carbohydrates and associated with enhanced mood. At the same time, dl-phenylalanine supports dopamine and epinephrine production, responsible for the sensation of well-being. Vitamin B6 is integral as a cofactor for neurotransmitter synthesis. Rhodiola and ashwagandha are believed to encourage the activities of these neurotransmitters while strengthening the body’s resistance to stress and fatigue, common triggers for undesirable eating behaviors. Research indicates that Sensoril® Trim

ashwagandha promotes relaxation and maintains healthy cortisol levels. It is these actions that may be responsible for its supportive effects on glucose and fat metabolism. Both chromium picolinate and Relora® have demonstrated the potential to promote more healthful patterns of carbohydrate and energy intake in adult subjects. In one study involving 49 volunteers prone to eating under stress, Relora® helped reduce stress-related snacking of sweets by 76%. In another trial, chromium picolinate supplementation helped reduce carbohydrate intake and mood fluctuations.* RECOMMENDATIONS We recommend two capsules 2 or 3 times per day, in divided doses, with or before meals.
