WHAT IS IT?
Reading Friends is a subscription-based site that covers the fundamentals of learning to read. Sign up for a free 14-day trial and create accounts for multiple kids. All text can be set to a special dyslexic font and the visitors’ centre lets parents get a sense of the kinds of games available. The more activities children complete, the more coins they will collect, which can be used to ‘buy’ further activities.
Parents can access progress reports that give some basic information about how their children are progressing. The themes and activities help liven up learning thanks to their friendly and fun nature, including songs, search games and multiple-choice questions.
The main negative is that you will have to pay a small subscription fee once your free trial is over. Also, the mode of gameplay can get quite repetitive, so children might become frustrated or bored if they use it for too long.
This is an intriguing website that will pass plenty of time as you try to solve its head-scratching puzzles. There are 140 levels that require you to carefully observe the surroundings displayed on the screen and do the necessary to proceed further in solving the riddle. This requires both logical and out-of-the-box thinking.
Nobody can deny that Spotify is one of the best places to discover music. However, the vast catalogue favours popular artists and what people around the world are listening to. Fogotify, on the other hand, helps you discover artists who are not that popular but produce great music. A cool place to discover new music and artists who deserve more of the limelight. www.bahrainthismonth.com
