THE DOLLS OF JAPAN

Famously known as the Kingdom of Dolls, Japan’s timehonoured cultural craft comes to Bahrain in an exhibition of the finest dolls of traditional performing arts as well as regional and creative pieces. Japan enjoys a rich culture of dolls and each figurine has its own distinct meaning and purpose, which is deeply connected to daily life. This traditional appreciation for dolls has resulted in the belief that they are not only children’s toys but also works of art to be displayed and admired which has led to the creation of unlimited styles.
