The third edition of the Bahrain Jazz Fest is set to take place on November 1, 2019. The open-air music festival will feature 13 international and local jazz artists and musicians, including: 10-time Grammy-nominated, platinumselling legendary American jazz band, Spyro Gyra, together with performances from Lone Star Blues ft Buddy Whittington Jr and Santiago Campillo, Nubiyan Twist, Flash Mob Jazz, Jaye and Foe, The Relocators, Jack Rabbit Slims and This MIght Be Jazz. The event is expected to attract more than 5,000 jazz enthusiasts from Bahrain and the region. Taking place on the scenic driving range of the award-winning Royal Golf Club golf course, the festival promises an unmatched experience and is now an annual feature in the national events calendar. The family-friendly event is open to all ages from 11am till 11pm and will host activities such as interactive children’s tents, food trucks, corporate hospitality areas, activation zones and all-day markets. The festival will also feature a second community stage that will showcase up-and-coming bands based in Bahrain. Tickets are priced at BD21 for adults and BD10.5 for juniors (VAT included) with free admission for children aged six and under (all standing). Call 17 552-393.

DRAGON BOAT RACING AND FESTIVITIES

The first ASEAN Dragon Boat Racing Festival in Bahrain will see teams from across the island going head-to-head in knock-out stages against the clock in this traditional Asian rowing discipline which features colourful boats powered by super-fast paddling to the beat of a drum.
