Central is a necessity in many hip-hop and R&B lovers’ diaries, celebrating these cultures from the ‘90s to now in a new, hot, monthly event with worldclass, international guest DJs. This month it’s Andy P, whose career is defined equally by the prestige and diversity of his achievements as a DJ. Whether controlling a European festival stage with an audience of 20,000-plus or building the vibe of an intimate celebrity-filled dance floor in central London, Andy is very much at home behind the turntables. Over the years he has exported his unique, party-rocking style from his home in London to 27 countries, across four continents. With roots founded in hiphop and R&B, but with thousands of hours experience playing genres from pop, right through to disco and house, Andy has the tools to rock any party regardless of the clientele. Billed as “the event of the year” get ready to welcome Walshy Fire, aka Leighton Paul Walsh, the Grammy Awardwinning JamaicanAmerican DJ, MC and record producer, who is better known as part of the dancehall, reggae-influenced group Major Lazer alongside fellow DJs Jillionaire and Diplo. The second part of the annual festival from Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA). One hundred restaurants are taking part over this and the earlier session, bringing the total number of participants this year to over 200. The eateries will be providing a wide range of delicious cuisines in a larger than usual space divided into several sections. The festival will offer a variety of F&B options and feature a creative and diverse selection of vendors, ranging from healthy and organic food, to street food and gastronomic delicacies. It will also include fun activities and entertainment suitable for the whole family, including a children’s play area, a traditional village which will offer local food and live cooking stations, as well as fun competitions and live musical performances on stage.
