Mama Mia Mama Shelter, the French boutique brand founded by the company which created Club Med back in the 1950s, is coming to Bahrain in partnership with Accor and Gulf Finance House Though it’s not yet clear whether the brand will take over an existing property, hoteldesigns.net reports that the 160-room Bahrain debut will be water facing and in the Manama area. It will incorporate the great rooftop zone that the brand is known for with rooms created by the Mama Design Studio. Opening is anticipated for late 2019.

Iconic Brand for Kingdom Leading Singapore property Raffles is coming to Bahrain to take over the Al Areen Palace and Spa. Hospitality group, Accor, has signed a milestone agreement with GFH Financial Group (GFH) to manage the Kingdom’s first ultraluxurious retreat. Major enhancements will transform the property into an exclusive and opulent oasis that immerses guests in Raffles’ bespoke well-being experiences. The site will close during refurbishment. Property enhancements attuned to Raffles brand standards will include the refurbishment of the 56 one-bedroom Desert Pool Villas and 22 two-bedroom Royal Pool Villas, which feature open-air swimming and jet pools, and converting the four existing food and beverage outlets to six. The resort’s 10,000sq/m spa and hydrotherapy area, one of the Middle East’s largest and featuring 16 spa pavilions, the world’s first garden hammam and a hydrothermal garden, will be renovated and upgraded. UAE Group Joins the Market In another move from Gulf Finance House, GFH Financial Group and UAE-based H Hotels & Resorts Management (H Hotels) are bringing a new five-star property to Manama.It is H Hospitality Collection’s debut in the Bahrain market and will be located at the Harbour Row waterfront project. Boasting restaurants, meeting rooms, a pool, gym and other amenities, the property is reported to be around 60 per cent complete.
