Patrick Henry’s Red Hill Offers Hearthside Cooking Demonstration by Rachel Deddens Rachel Deddens, owner of Hearth of the Kitchen, will demonstrate revolutionary cooking using Red Hill’s hearth kitchen for a small group on March 24, 2012. Brookneal, VA – On March 24, 2012 Red Hill is holding its annual Kite Day event. This year Red Hill has teamed up with hearthside cooking expert, Rachel Deddens of Lynchburg, to offer a demonstration for a small group of six. Rachel Deddens is a food historian and has twenty years of experience with hearthside cooking. She is a Museum Educator and presents cooking classes at many historic sites. Rachel was last here during our first annual Bluegrass, Barbecue, and Brew Festival where she cooked a meal in the hearth kitchen during the event. The class will be open to only six people due to small quarters. Only six participants will be allowed so please call as soon as possible to reserve your spot.
