WELCOME TO THE Isle of Wight

For an island that spans a modest 27 miles east to west, and 13 miles north to south, the Isle of Wight packs a lot in. There are over 50 attractions, 25 beaches, and 450 independent cafés, bars, pubs and restaurants to choose from, all within just an hour’s drivetime of each other. Couple that with the stunning landscapes and relaxed pace of life, and you’ve found yourself the perfect destination!

Red Funnel has been sailing holidaymakers to the Island for over 160 years, so we know it better than most. That’s why it’s our pleasure to share some of that knowledge with you, to help you plan and enjoy your holiday or break to its fullest. Inside this guide you’ll find information and recommendations for beaches, things to do, and places to eat and stay. All our contributors live on the Island, or visit frequently, and have offered some of their insider tips for your visit. We hope the travel experiences we share will inspire you as you explore the Island, and if you’ve got any recommendations that you’d like us to consider featuring in the future, we’d love to hear about them. Happy Holidays
