Lutheran Church of the Redeemer’s Statement of Welcome
We serve a God of abundant grace and generosity Our worship is centered on the invitation that Christ offers at the communion table: all are welcome in this place. That welcome flows through all we do and say We open our arms to everyone who comes to share our love of God and all God’s people. We affirm and value the lives of everyone, including all who have been marginalized by ability, age, gender, gender identity, mental or physical health, poverty, race, sexual orientation, or any other circumstance Let our message be clear: all are welcome to participate fully in the life of our congregation.

Sixth Sunday after Pentecost Deacon Mary Houck, preaching
The theme of the Day
Perhaps the church, at its best, is “all ears. ” God urges the faithful, again and again, to “listen up!” to heed the word that gives life. So it was with Abraham and Sarah, Mary and Martha, and the early church at Colossae. So it is today as we join the assembly to hear the word of God, the word of life.
Important Traffic Update
The planned streetscape improvements on Juniper Street NE, from 14th Street NE to Ponce de Leon Ave NE are nearing completion. Plans include new asphalt pavement and repairs that include milling off the existing pavement, patching of the roadway base, and then resurfacing with asphalt Juniper will be converted to two through lanes and a dedicated bike lane. This final phase of work includes completion of new traffic signals, roadway signage, and landscaping This final roadway work could start during the week of June 19th , 2025 and is slated to be completed by late summer 2025. While actual construction is unusual on Sundays, it is possible that there may be periodic lane closures, possible shortterm detours, and intermittent flagging operations throughout the duration of this work.
