By Kristina Gavran and Tina Hofman One big project. Two ambitious women. Mothers to several small kids. No bed-time routine. But the show must go on. Meeting a parent you envy. Meeting a parent you want to slap in the face. Vowing never to have kids (or at least not to have any more). Feeling understanding and tolerant. Being extremely protective over the rare moments of silence. Experiencing tantrums in the most unsuitable places. Whether having kids or not we invite you to join us in probing the 21st Century parenthood. Witness the two worlds ultimately colliding.

How do we discuss sex in front of the sandpit, write a book whilst the restless toddler dismantles the house, or arrange a hot date whilst playing Lego? To work or not to work, that is the question? Our ambition did not disappear when we had kids. It is ever-present, and often in conflict: they both fight for our attention. Can we sooth our babies and our ambition? Because, whether a parent or not, we all have an opinion… Tina Hofman and Kristina Gavran are both Croatian artists with long-term Birmingham addresses. They co-founded notnow Collective hoping to look into family, parenthood and work-home subjects in a challenging, highly visual and immersive way. Tickets £10.00* and £8.00* (disc) *inclusive of booking fee £1 per ticket up to a maximum of £4.00 Age: Suitable for 16+

GRAEME OF THRONES In this critically-acclaimed theatrical journey through the Seven Kingdoms, avid ‘Thrones’ fan Graeme just wants to recreate his favourite fantasy saga on stage. He doesn’t quite have the same budget as the TV show, or as many cast members, or the performance skills required, but he’s sure George RR Martin would approve - and that’s what matters. But when news reaches him that an influential theatrical producer is in the building, Graeme decides that this could be his big break - as long as nothing goes wrong... Having started life in London’s West End, the show has since been seen around

the world with sold out shows in Australia, Canada and the USA. In 2017 the production takes on a world tour giving Westeros fans everywhere the chance to see why Time Out described it as ‘a must for any Game Of Thrones fan’, what caused a woman in Norwich to vomit into her purse, and why it was banned from performing in Malaysia. Created by a team of some of the UK’s top comedy writers, Graeme Of Thrones is an original and un-authorized parody on the international phenomenon that is Game Of Thrones. A treat for fans and an introduction for the unenlightened. See it before the inevitable lawsuit. Tickets £19.00* * inclusive of booking fee £1 per ticket up to a maximum of £4 Age: Suitable for 16+

Ian Pittaway, historical music performer on stage and TV (The Night Watch, Horrible Histories, The White Princess), will take you on a journey through the songs, tunes and stories of the middle ages. Hear a Spanish song about a miraculous pork chop; 13th century English songs about the weather (what else?); a Christmas hit for Mike Oldfield by a medieval monk who wore brass tacks in his underpants; a Canterbury Tales tune; medieval dances; the crossover between folk music and medieval music; and much more, sung in modern and Middle English and played on medieval instruments: harp, bray harp, gittern, lute and koboz.

With some joining-in choruses (if you’re willing) and an opportunity to see medieval musical instruments close-up, this is an evening for peasants or gentry of any age, suitable for the curious novice and medieval initiates alike. “Ian engages the audience … an object lesson in talking about the songs in an entertaining way.” ~ Warwick Folk Club “Beautiful set … a brilliant performance enthusiastically presented by a master musician to an appreciative and attentive audience that, quite simply, loved it.
